Now that layers have had chance to get stuck in with Tears of the Kingdom, many are drawing up their wishlists of some changes they’d like to see in potential future patches to make the game better. One quality-of-life improvement that a large number of players are hoping for is the introduction of a Favorites tab that would allow them to easily find the Fuse recipe they’re looking for.
With the Fuse ability having quickly become one of the most popular in-game features since launch, having a page containing all of your preferred weapon combinations would make the experience smoother and more seamless. Even though there already is a “most used” category for Fuse recipes, the entries contained within this list are often ones that you’ve used plenty of times in the past so it doesn’t allow for much experimenting.
One user named butuco has even created a Reddit post asking Nintendo to include a Tears of the Kingdom Favorites tab in the game. In their thread, they mentioned that their “only complaint is the fact that I have to cycle through 469324 items when fusing an arrow.” “I mean, if I jump in slow mo, by the time I’ve found the item I’m searching for, I’m already on the floor,” they continued.
One commenter, however, ended up telling butuco to make use of the aforementioned “most used” tab instead, to which the post creator replied that “there are times where I want to mix things up and not rely on things I’ve used previously.” They would then cite a specific example by noting that “getting a new item and trying it out for the first time requires a thorough search,” and only a Favorites tab would be able to solve this small issue.
With Nintendo having only recently released their first post-launch patch, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll be getting this QoL change any time soon. However, the magic and limitless creative possibilities that the developers have been able to provide with Tears of the Kingdom should still keep players entertained regardless of its lack of a Favorites tab for Fuse recipes.
