Helldivers 2 players thought they had eradicated the Automatons from the galaxy once and for all following the completion of the Major Order this past weekend. But, just after one day the robots reappeared with tens of thousands of warships, and now the Helldivers are defending various planets in brand new defense missions. As the battle wages on, the Automatons have now set their sights on Earth, in particular our real world.

Following a post on X that was quickly taken down, Arrowhead Game Studios posted to tell people to ignore the illegal broadcast posted by the Automatons saying “The Ministry of Truth would like to dispel any rumors that Super Earth deep-range transmissions were intercepted with an illegal Automaton broadcast today. SEAF comms teams identified a minor systems fault that resulted in a quick burst of static interference. Please disregard.”

With the Automatons recently returning to Helldivers 2 after being eradicated from the galaxy for just one day, the robots are now looking for revenge and stronger than ever after tens of thousands of warships suddenly appeared. With the robots now broadcasting on Earth, they are now posing the biggest threat that we’ve seen in Helldivers 2 so far. Super Earth hasn’t been under attack since the start of Helldivers 2 and has remained 100% liberated along with Mars. But, with the Automatons now appearing in the real world, this may be the first sign that an attack on Super Earth is imminent.

If this theory is correct, then players could be in for the biggest fight they’ve faced so far.
