The First Descendant devs reveal “updated” skills for new Season 2 character

The First Descendant Season 2 is imminent. It’s only one week away, and there is a lot of new content for TFD players to anticipate including two new playable characters. While one of the new faces will be introduced in 2025, Keelan will be available to unlock once the chapter starts. Ahead of the upcoming launch, Nexon has revealed the “updated” and “finalized” skills for Keelan in The First Descendant Season 2.

The release date for TFD Season 2 is December 5th. While Nexon has revealed a lot of exciting content for S2, they have also teased future additions for S3 and beyond. Nexon are hoping to add photo mode in S3, and they are also looking to add “jiggle physics,” although there’s no ETA for when this will arrive. In addition, Nexon are aware of players wanting crossovers with other IPs, and the developer has teased that collaborations are “under review”.

While 2025 is poised to be a phenomenal for The First Descendant, Season 2 is scheduled to start before the new year arrives. There is a lot to look forward to in Nexon’s second chapter, and one of the highlights is new playable characters.

The First Descendant Keelan skills for Season 2

On X, Nexon has shared the passive and active skills for Keelan in The First Descendant Season 2. It’s specifically pointed out these skills are “updated to its finalized version,” so it’s everything that will be available once S2 starts.

Below are the active and passive skills for Keelan:

Erosion (passive):

• Using a skill a certain number of times enhances your abilities and grants you Acidic infusion level.

Void Corrosion:

• Targets an enemy and fires Void Corrosion, inflicting Acidic Decay on the hit target.

Onslaught:

• Dashes forward and, dealing damage and inflicting Acidic Decay on the pierced enemy.

Septic Gust:

• Deals damage and inflicts Acidic Decay on enemies within range.

Tremor:

• If enemies within range have Acidic Decay, deals additional damage proportional to the amount of Acidic Decay stacks.

While Keelan will be available right away at the start of Season 2, the other new playable character, Ines Raya, won’t debut until January. In addition to Keelan and Ines Raya, Season 2 is also introducing Fellows, and this might be expanded upon in the future with “other types of companions“.
