The First Descendant fans have a lot to look forward to very soon with the upcoming launch of Season 2. Nexon has teased a lot of upcoming improvements and additions, and there will also be a new Ultimate as well as new playable characters. In addition, The First Descendant developer has teased the addition of “jiggle physics” with “appropriate” options for players.

Nexon is set to officially reveal Season 2 through a pre-recorded developer commentary, and this will confirm the identities of two new characters. Alongside these new playable heroes, Season 2 is introducing huge improvements to skins, and Nexon has said a rework is on the way for an “appealing character” that is popular within the community.

While new characters, features, gameplay improvements, more customization options, and reworks is exciting, Nexon is also looking to add “jiggle physics” to The First Descendant.

The First Descendant dev explains how “jiggle physics” will be added

On The First Descendant’s official Discord, TFD_PD_Lee has been responding to and answering questions from the community. This form of communication has been excellent as it’s provided a window into Nexon’s plans for the imminent and further future.

Arguably the biggest upcoming addition announced by the game’s producer is the forthcoming arrival of “jiggle physics”. It is a feature part of a lot of other video games, and it’s surprising it hasn’t been included in TFD since day one.

We know the feature is coming, and TFD_PD_Lee has said Nexon plans to provide “an on/off option for jiggle”. As for why the option will be included, its because “it’s a feature being added later rather than something from the beginning, [so] offering a toggle option for players to choose seems appropriate”.

In addition to the above concerning “jiggle physics,” TFD_PD_Lee reaffirmed to fans that “both male and female descendants are being added in Season 2” and Nexon is “working hard in many areas to meet the expectations of those who love TFD”.

Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly when the feature will be added. In a message announcing its addition, TFD_PD_Lee said “After a lengthy discussion with the AD today, a decision has been made to add the much-requested ‘Jiggle Physics.’ This was decided only a short while ago, so the details of when it will be implemented in the game are yet to be finalized and will be shared in future updates”.

For everyone who wants the feature, its upcoming addition is good news, and it’s also good that there will be an on/off toggle for those not interested. More options is always a good thing, and Nexon have done a great job consistently adding to TFD since its launch in July.
