The Finals has been hot ever since it fully launched in December of last year, but right now the game is smoking following the release of the Season 2 trailer. While the trailer shares lots of upcoming new additions, developer Embark Studios has separately confirmed new The Finals Season 2 weapons for all of the classes in the game.

Embark Studios has announced that the start date for The Finals Season 2 is March 14th. The game has been ‘hacked by the CNS,’ and the upcoming chapter is introducing an exciting new game mode fans have clamored for since day one of the game’s launch.

Right now you can grab 2 Epic skins and 12 Epic outfits entirely for free, but in a couple of days, we will all be able to enjoy Embark Studios’ second chapter of their multiplayer hit. It’s full of new content and that includes fresh weapons for the Light, Medium, and Heavy class builds.

New The Finals Season 2 weapons

Away from the trailer, The Finals developer Embark Studios has confirmed new weapons for the game’s classes in Season 2. This news was delivered in a post published on Steam so it may not have reached everyone in the community.

Per the developer’s blog post, below are the new imminent weapons:

  • Light – 93R burst-fire machine pistol
  • Medium – FAMAS burst assault rifle
  • Heavy – KS-23 slug shotgun

In addition to the above the new weapons, each class is also getting the following new gadgets and tech:

  • Light – The Gateway:
    • A pair of limited-range deployable portals! When both are thrown and activated, contestants and objects can move between the two locations. Anyone can use a portal, but players can’t see or shoot through them! Perfect for a quick getaway, when things get hairy.
  • Medium – The Dematerializer:
    • A specialization that temporarily erases physical surfaces, like walls, ceilings, or goo — allowing contestants to see, shoot, and pass through them. Create new passageways and close them back up again —turn every obstacle into an open door.
  • Medium – The Data Reshaper:
    • A specialization that temporarily erases physical surfaces, like walls, ceilings, or goo — allowing contestants to see, shoot, and pass through them. Create new passageways and close them back up again —turn every obstacle into an open door.
  • Heavy – The Anti-Gravity Cube:
    • A deployable cube that manipulates gravity in its immediate area, lifting contestants and objects upwards! Is it a traversal tool? Or a defensive gadget? It’s up to each contestant!

Lastly, Season 2 introduces a new Arena, SYS$HORIZON. Per the developer’s blog post, ‘This glitchy, neon-filled cityscape exists in the loading realm of the game show and features a mix of vertical and horizontal gameplay’ where ‘Voxel bridges create pathways between buildings, and pieces of floating, glitched geometry allow contestants to parkour through the arena’.
