14 new PS Plus January 2024 Extra and Premium games confirmed with release date

The PlayStation Plus January Essential games are available to grab right now, but we’re still due the Extra and Premium additions. Sony has confirmed 14 new PS Plus January 2024 Extra and Premium games along with the release date for when you can download them.

This year is shaping up to be another excellent 12 months of video game releases. We have compiled a schedule of upcoming games for 2024, and there is The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered release date for January. There is also Tekken 8 with a demo available to download right now, and you will be able to finally play Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League if you opt for early access.

All of the above is no doubt exciting, but next week PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play 14 new games at no extra cost.

Release date

The release date for the PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024 games is January 16th. While you still have to wait until next week to play, you can claim and download this month’s Essentials right now: A Plague Tale Requiem, Evil West, Nobody Saves The World.

Regarding the February 2024 Essentials, they are expected to be announced on January 31st. Before February comes around, make sure to claim the current Essentials before the expiry date, February 5th. It’s always worth claiming even if you don’t plan to play because they will not be able available to pick up for free again.

Games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024

All of the below games are leaving Sony’s Extra and Premium services on January 23rd, 2024:

•   Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire Ultimate Edition

It Takes Two won Game of the Year at the Game Awards in 2021, meanwhile, Devil May Cry 5 won Best Action Game at the Game Awards in 2019. Although these are the two biggest names leaving, Pillars of Eternity 2 is another massive game especially if you’ve become a fan of CRPGs thanks to Baldur’s Gate 3. Snowrunner is another terrific experience if you want something that is relaxing and challenging at the same time.
