The Last of Us fans have found out the actress who will be playing Abby in season 2 of HBO’s television adaptation of the hit PlayStation series. Introduced by Naughty Dog in Part 2, she is easily the most divisive character of the entire franchise and she has a unique look that is immediately recognizable. We’re excited to see the official actor’s portrayal, but, in the meantime, this The Last of Us Part 2 Abby cosplay bears a muscular physique that is absolutely perfect and ideal for HBO’s second season.
Away from the world of television, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered release date is right around the corner. This is a second chance for PlayStation loyalists who originally didn’t like the story and characters. While critically renowned, TLOU2 is one of the most controversial sequels of all time as online public opinion has very little middle ground. PlayStation gamers either love everything about it or they completely hate it.
The perfect personification of hate and love for The Last of Us Part 2 is undoubtedly Abby. But, while online public opinion is split about the character, this awesome cosplay deserves nothing but love as it’s an immaculate recreation of Naughty Dog’s design.
The Last of Us Part 2 Abby cosplay
This The Last of Us Part 2 Abby Anderson cosplay by Maximumclaire on Instagram is absolutely flawless. The outfit is a one-to-one recreation of her main attire in the game which is a black tank top combined with loose cargo pants. She has a holster wrapped around her thigh just like Abby in-game, and she is also carrying a heavy camper backpack. A really nice touch is the weapons hanging off her bag again similar to Naughty Dog’s design.
In addition to the overall outfit, the wig is also really good as it’s again identical to Abby’s blonde locks tied into a long braid. Another really nice touch is the loose strands of hair at the front of her face which resemble Abby in her reveal trailer. Of course, while all of these aspects are great, what really makes the cosplay stand out and come together is the muscular physique. The huge biceps and triceps are nearly identical to Abby’s, and it’s a muscular physique that would be perfect for HBO.

The official actress for Abby in The Last of Us season 2 TV show is Kaitlyn Dever. She does not have the bodybuilder aesthetic of Abby Anderson, but she’s an accomplished actress who is more than capable of delivering an excellent performance. She could possibly be given a training regime to bulk for the role, or she could be given a muscle suit like Jason Mamoa for Aquaman 2. Alternatively, she could bear an appearance that is a happy middle-ground between Naughty Dog’s final design and strikingly different concept art.
It will be interesting to see how television viewers react to Naughty Dog’s most divisive character. Online public opinion amongst gamers is generally split in the middle between love and hate. Rather than the appearance, it’s more the supposed unforgivable sin she commits in the first few hours of the game that is the crux of the outrage. Knowing how beloved Joel and Pedro Pascal are, the character could again be a heated point of contention for a new audience.
