Palworld is an excellent and absolutely sublime video game, but there are many things Pocketpair can improve. It’s not just about bugs and glitches as there are also some design choices that have driven the community mad. Fortunately, the community has each other’s back, and there is a Palworld mod that fixes the worst gameplay mechanic in the game by adding the ability to manually assign pals.

There are many amazing mods to download for Palworld. There is a new one available that lets you breed new unreleased pals from Pocketpair, and there is also a game-changer mod that adds a highly-requested feature before Pocketpair. We also have a compilation of the very best mods available to download.

While all of the above mods are great, especially the one with breeding for new unreleased pals, there is another that finally lets you manually assign pals to different duties instead of having to pick them up and throw them.

Palworld mod lets fans manually assign pals

There is a Palworld mod available that lets fans manually assign pals to workstations instead of having to chase them, pick them up, and throw them. Having to pick up and throw pals to assign them is a maddening gameplay mechanic the community has complained about since almost day one.

Thankfully, the Assign Pals mod created by NexusMods user, atomicbentobox, is available to download on PC. Per the mod’s web page, it lets you manually assign pals to workstations through a ‘menu that lists the currently available workstations/jobs at your base, then when one of them is clicked it brings up the base pals that can be assigned to that workstation’.

Then all you need to do is ‘Click the desired pal to fix assign it to that workstation’. Not only does this mod allow you to assign pals without having to chase them and throw them about like sacks of trash, but it also allows you to see the passive skills of your pals, as well as unassign them from workstations.

Check out the mod’s web page for instructions on how to download. Alas, it only works for single-player as of now, and its web page also includes a list of known issues that come with the mod along with workarounds for any problems that occur. It should work with the most recent 0.1.5.1 update according to the comment posts.

Unfortunately, there’s no word from Pocketpair on whether they will officially add a manual assign system in the future. There’s no mention of it in the roadmap and there’s also been no hints from the devs. So, for the time being, all we have is this mod that was last updated on March 9th.
