Minecraft Legends release date – when is it coming out?
Minecraft Legends is set for release on April 18, 2023. It launches on multiple platforms, which include the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Being an Xbox Game Studios Game, it’ll of course also be available via Xbox Game Pass from launch.
The game was first revealed back in June. You’ll play as a singular character, who sets out on a quest to save the idyllic and peaceful Overworld.
One of the major differences between Legends and fellow spin-off Minecraft Dungeons is that though you’ll be controlling one character, you’ll be directing groups of mobs – a little like the 2009 Double Fine game Brutal Legend.
An additional preview was exhibited during the Xbox Developer Direct Showcase. This time around, the PvP aspect of the upcoming title was displayed all throughout the trailer.
According to the developers, 2 teams of 4 match up against each other with the goal of destroying the opposing team’s main structure. During each match, players will farm for resources, then construct walls and buildings to protect their base.
