As you may remember, the current Fortnite season was delayed due to unexpected server issues. Due to this, there is a chance that Epic will postpone Season 3 of the current chapter.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 release date has been revealed by Epic
Fortnite seasons last approximately two and a half months, and the current one is no exception. Considering it began on March 8, it makes sense that it ends in late May. More specifically, Epic Games revealed that it would end on May 24, meaning that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will also begin on this date.
Considering that the current Fortnite season was delayed by nearly 19 hours, Epic may push Chapter 5 Season 3 to May 25, which would be Saturday. Due to this, keep an eye on the season-ending date on the Battle Pass page. Since it ends at 2 AM Eastern Time, the next season will likely begin right after, although it will have another server downtime.
The ending date of the next season hasn’t been revealed yet. However, considering the duration of previous seasons, we expect it to end in early August 2024. This will also be the beginning of the fourth season of Chapter 5, which may be the last season of the chapter. If the leaked roadmap is true, this chapter will also have four seasons, with another OG season coming at the end of the year.
So, what could be the Season 3 theme and Battle Pass?
The theme of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 hasn’t been revealed or leaked yet – although there will almost certainly be major map changes, with new named places and landmarks. However, there is a chance that the season will have an apocalyptic theme. Several apocalyptic-themed skins were shown in one of the latest Fortnite surveys, which is a good indicator of the content that will arrive in the future. Keep in mind that most of the current Battle Pass skins were also shown in a survey.
According to a leaked Fortnite roadmap, the next season will have an apocalyptical theme. Furthermore, it will bring several collaborations, including Fall Guys and Pirates of the Caribean. Furthermore, the season will feature Metallica, one of the most popular heavy metal bands. However, the source of this leak is unknown, which is why you should take it with a grain of salt.
In terms of what major changes to expect, again, details are quite thin on the ground. Fortnite leaker Hypex claims that ‘weapons charms’ have ‘randomly’ been removed from the game. They went on to state this could be a hint that the long-awaited first person mode could be coming to Fortnite. Considering that this feature was first leaked two years ago, it may come with the next season.

When can I watch the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 trailer?
Epic Games will release a trailer for a new Fortnite season shortly before it comes out. In most cases, this happens right after the game developer pushes an update on all systems. Teasers, on the other hand, should arrive a few days before the season. In general, Epic posts at least three teasers before a new season comes out.
