Helldivers 2 has seen a steady flow of new content come to the game including Premium Warbonds that include new weapons, armor, and cosmetics, as well as new missions, planets, and enemies. With new updates coming to the game on a near-weekly basis, there is always something to look forward to. Here are all of the current Helldivers 2 leaks and rumors – which we keep updated regularly with all the latest information as soon as it drops.
Arrowhead Testing A Passive Healing Stratagem?
Trusted Helldivers 2 leaker Tier5NPC recently posted about a new passive healing Stratagem backpack that would heal you after you take damage without the need for Stims. This would likely have a set amount of healing it could give before needing to recharge. This would be great for taking fire damage as you can be killed incredibly fast by it and it is possible that this could be the difference between life and death. Unfortunately, it looks like Arrowhead has abandoned this, or at least removed it from the placeholder item after testing. Despite the effect now being removed from the leaked item, it is possible that Arrowhead could look to add this item in the future. Tier5NPC gave an update saying,
“PACK NO LONGER HAS EFFECT: as I presumed, this was definitely just Arrowheads testing the waters with what could possibly be for the angel Drone pack more than this particular stratagem, as I haven’t actually used it in the last three days and only noticed last night I might have very well been just in time to see it as a user pointed out they tried it today and it didn’t work for them I just retried as well and can confirm the effect is indeed gone hence was removed.”
Colony Vehicle Could Come To Helldivers 2 This Week
It has been rumored for a while that a new vehicle could be coming to Helldivers 2 and it could be released as early as this leak. U/IronS1ghts on Reddit has posted an image of the upcoming Colony Vehicle, which players will be able to drive around the map. This will likely be a Stratagem that is dropped onto the map and it could be a great way to traverse the map quickly while also being used to escape horses of the Automatons and Terminids.
The Illuminate Leaks Gives Us A First Look At Two Enemies And Warp Gate Portal
It has been rumored for some time now that The Illuminate will be coming to Helldivers 2 as the third faction alongside the Automatons and Terminids. But, so far they haven’t been making themselves known to the Helldivers. There were some theories they could be about to arrive when cloaked ships were seen in the sky, but these were likely the hidden warships that the Automatons were working on before being “eradicated.”
Now we’ve got our first look at The Illuminate courtesy of u/IronS1ghts on Reddit, who is listed as a ‘Worthy Leaker.’ These models were discovered in the in-game files and showcase two enemies, the Adept Mage and an enemy only known as ‘Guy’, as well as a Portal Gate that The Illuminate will use to spawn onto the map similar to the Fabricators and Bug Holes used by the current enemies.
Melee Weapons Could Come To Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twinbeard has discussed the possibility of melee weapons coming to the game. Art for Helldivers 2 originally included bayonets and energized sabers, and Twinbeard has stated that melee weapons “might still happen.” There is a melee button in Helldivers 2 but it isn’t viable to hit an enemy with your weapon unless it’s a last resort. But, a dedicated melee weapon that does more damage could make it incredibly fun to charge into a horde and enemies and start swinging.

Star Wars may be set in a galaxy far far away, but it could potentially come to Super Earth in the future. Collaborations and video games seem to go hand in hand these days, with games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty seeing many crossovers and popular characters from other IPs come to the games. The Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twinbeard did discuss the possibility of a collaboration with Star Wars, noting that the collaboration would “have to make sense.” Twinbeard did state that Lightsabers wouldn’t come to the game as they wouldn’t fit with the style of the game.

With Lucasfilm and the Star Wars IP now being owned by Disney, could this also open the door for a Marvel collaboration? And, with Disney having an equity stake in Epic Games, could we see Helldivers be turned into Fortnite skins? If Arrowhead Game Studios opens itself up to collaborations there are many great possibilities that fans would like to see.
Over in Fortnite, we are due to see a Star Wars x Fortnite crossover in May. With Helldivers 2 rapidly gaining popularity, it’s only a matter of time, we think, before such a crossover will happen.
Fire Is Finally Going To Be Nerfed
Fire has become the bane of our lives when it comes to Helldivers 2. A recent update buffed fire damage to an ungodly amount, with it now almost instant-killing players. Whether you’re being hit by a Tank, getting trapped by a fire tornado, or even using your own flamethrower, fire is the biggest threat to Helldivers right now.
Thankfully, Arrowhead Game Studios has said that fire will be nerfed in a future update. There is no information regarding when this change will be added, but the developers have previously made changes to the game based on feedback very quickly, so we will likely see this change sooner rather than later. There is also confirmation from the CEO that there will be further changes as part of the Helldivers 2 roadmap, although details here are thin on the ground.
