August is a big month for Helldivers 2. The game has slowed down in recent months with Arrowhead choosing to focus on quality over quantity. While fans have become frustrated with the lack of new content, the good news is that a new Premium Warbond is on the horizon. Here you will find the new Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond release date and time countdown for when it will come out, and you will also discover everything that is included in the bundle.
As mentioned, it’s been a big month for HD2 so far. The Escalation of Freedom was just released, and you can check out the update 01.001.002 patch notes to see everything included from new monsters to balance changes. In addition, a leak has given us our first look at the Illuminate in-game, meanwhile, another leak suggests the Bastion Tank from HD1 is returning.
While leaks for the future are exciting, tomorrow we are set to get a new bundle. The new Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Premium Warbond release date and time countdown is nearly over, and it includes a slew of new weapons, armor, and capes.
New Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond release date
The release date for the new Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond is August 8th . This has been confirmed by developer Arrowhead.
It is following on from Viper Commandos which came out in June. Prior to the launch of Viper Commandos, Arrowhead announced some big changes to future Warbonds including the fact they will no longer be a monthly occurrence.

Basically, you will need to spend 1,000 Super Credits to unlock Freedom’s Flame similar to Viper Commandos, Polar Patriots, Democratic Detonation, Cutting Edge and Steeled Veterans. Super Credits are unlocked from playing matches, or you can buy 1,000 Super Credits for $9.99.
When does Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond come out?
The expected release time for when the Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond will come out is between 2 AM PT to 5 AM PT, 5 AM ET to 8 AM ET, and 10 AM BST to 1 PM BST on August 8th.
All of the above hours are usually when HD2 updates and Warbonds come out. For example, the Escalation of Freedom launched at 10AM BST earlier this week, meanwhile, Cutting Edge went live at 11:30 AM BST earlier in the year.
Viper Commands was an exception to the rule as it was slightly delayed to the later release time of 3PM BST. However, this was a rare occurrence as opposed to the traditional launch hours mentioned above. We will update this article if anything is confirmed by Arrowhead or PlayStation.
