Sony has now revealed all of the PlayStation Plus January 2024 additions. It’s a great start to the year for Sony subscribers even if you are just restricted to the Essentials selection. While there are lots of great games joining PS Plus next week, PlayStation UK and Access have possibly leaked a future PS Plus Premium classic game for the future and it’s a PS1 horror.

PlayStation loyalists have lots to look forward to throughout the year. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered release date is imminent, and the upcoming games 2024 schedule includes three PlayStation console exclusives for Q1 2024 alone: Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Rise of Ronin. Not to mention there’s also a selection of great third-party multi-platform games coming out such as Persona 3 Reload and Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League.

All of the above is exciting, but there’s also a huge selection of games joining PS Plus next week. Sony announced some terrific titles, yet some original announcements may have leaked a future Premium classic.

PS Plus Premium classic game leak

PlayStation UK and Access have possibly leaked Alone In The Dark The New Nightmare for PS Plus Premium. It would join the Premium subscription tier as it’s a PS1 game. This possible leak comes courtesy of Reddit user TURBO_THUNDER on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit.

Per their Reddit post, PlayStation UK’s Twitter announcement for the PS Plus Extra and Premium January 2024 games featured Alone In The Dark The New Nightmare. This tweet from PlayStation UK has been deleted, but there are replies remaining commenting on the game’s inclusion.

In addition to PlayStation UK, the PlayStation Access YouTube channel featured Alone In The Dark in their PS Plus announcement video. Shortly after, the video was taken down and reuploaded with the Alone In The Dark clip removed, but Twitter user _qubady_ captured a screenshot of the original post. Although not official, these removals suggest a mistake happened and that it could come to Sony’s subscription service in the future.

Assuming it does come to PS Plus sometime in 2024, it would be a great PS1 addition. Horror games are some of the best PS1 titles ever, and there’s really not enough of them on Sony’s subscription service. It would also be fun to play ahead of the Alone In The Dark remake pegged for March.

In other PlayStation-related news, you still have time to enter Sony’s competition to win a new PS5. A retailer has also listed a PS5 DualSense V2 controller with price and a significant improvement.
