Forza Horizon 5 is, indeed, getting a Hot Wheels expansion pack, set in the clouds above Mexico. Check out the announcement trailer below:
The description reads:
“Calling all daredevil drivers and creators! Blast off to the visually stunning, exhilarating new Horizon Hot Wheels Park in the clouds high above Mexico. Experience the fastest, most extreme tracks ever devised. Design, build, and share your own Hot Wheels adventure with 80 distinct, snappable track pieces. Race 10 amazing new cars including the lightning fast 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the iconic 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II.”
We did already have an inkling about this expansion, because there was a leak just last week. Still, if you’re a fan of bruising the arch of your foot, after stepping on those little model cars. A fan of Forza Horizon 5. And if you’re a fan of absolutely bonkers tracks that loop and arc through the heavens: this one is for you.
Elsewhere in last night’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, we got a fancy, ray-traced demonstration of the new Forza Motorsport. We also got a longer look at Starfield in action. Hideo Kojima turned up and said hello to Phil Spencer, before announcing his intention to bring something new to Xbox. And we got a good look at Redfall, which is coming out next year. Plus, if you like Metroidvanias, check out The Last Case of Benedict Fox.
