Darwin Nunez announced as world’s deadliest striker in FC 24

FC 24 is around a month old, with fans creating their Ultimate Team, getting stuck into another Career Mode save, and linking up in Clubs. Some of the top stats and highlights from the first 24 days of FC 24 have been revealed.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise to see the Premier League as the most used in FC 24 Ultimate Team. Similarly, France being the most represented nation won’t raise any eyebrows.

However, the men’s top scorer might shock you!

“He came from Benfica to the big Reds”

The EA Sports FC account on X (formerly Twitter) recently posted some highlights from the early stages of the new game. Among them were the top five men’s scorers in FUT.

With sharpshooters Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe two of the highest-rated players in the game, you would be forgiven for thinking they would top the list.

The best wingers in FC 24 also score a lot of goals, such as Mohamed Salah and Heung Min Son.

Yet, we have to drop all the way down to an 82-rated player to find our goalscoring king! That man is Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.

Although it may be surprising to see him top the list, there is a pretty obvious reason why he is there. Evolutions have brought a brand-new feature to Ultimate Team, which the community is really enjoying.

The Founders Evolution was one of the first upgrades introduced to FUT fans, with Darwin Nunez one of the most popular choices to put through it.

After the upgrade, Nunez was faster, stronger, and better at shooting and dribbling, giving a great early game forward.

EasySBC ranked a fair few players higher than him in their Meta Ratings after the Evolution, but that didn’t stop the community from rushing to put him through it.

Evolutions also explain why Ansu Fati and Timo Werner get in on the top five. Both could be used in the Founders Evolution, with Fati a favourite for the Relentless Winger Evolution.

The men’s top five scorers in FC 24 Ultimate Team are as follows:

1. Darwin Nunez
2. Ansu Fati
3. Erling Haaland
4. Timo Werner
5. Randal Kolo Muani

Of the top five, it is only Haaland and Kolo Muani who aren’t there due to Evolutions. However, the Norwegian is probably included as his card was released as a loan version for those who pre-ordered the game.

That means PSG striker Kolo Muani is the only one included without any extenuating circumstances. Obviously, playing for one of the most popular clubs in the game will see him used more, as will his French nationality.

Kolo Muani also has a pretty decent attribute layout, although his shooting stats aren’t brilliant. He is pacey with brilliant dribbling ability.

However, we think that what made him a really popular card is his PlayStyles. Another new feature in FC 24, they have revolutionised the game.

The Frenchman has four of the best PlayStyles in the game. Technical, Flair, and Quick Step all make him a top player on the ball. Then to top it off he has Finesse Shot, possibly the most OP of them all!
