Bend Studio has offered a tiny news nugget on its next game, as the team unveiled a new logo for the Days Gone developer.

The team revealed the new logo alongside a PlayStation Blog post to explain the makeover, with the new info. “We are currently working on a new IP that includes multiplayer,” the post reads. “And builds upon the open-world systems of Days Gone, but brings you a whole new world that we are extremely excited to craft for you. We cannot wait to reveal it to you when the time is right.” The Oregon-based outfit first confirmed they were working on a brand new IP this time last year.

Elsewhere in the post, the studio talked about its evolution over the past 29 years, beginning by releasing Live Action Football on the PC in 1993 under a different name. It then took on the name of Eidetic, when it released Bubsy 3D in 1995 for the original PlayStation. After this came perhaps the studio’s most famous title – 1999’s Syphon Filter. It was following this that Sony acquired the studio in 2000 and gave it the name we know the team as today.

Since then, the team have worked on that series and also worked on other big PlayStation series, including PSP and Vita spin-offs of the Resistance and Uncharted games from 2009 onwards. It would be 2019 before Bend Studio created its next original IP, open world biker sim Days Gone.

Though Days Gone received a decent, if not blockbuster, reception, plans for a sequel, reportedly including co-op, were eventually shelved. We’ll see if Bend Studio can incorporate those systems into their new title. There’s no name or ETA yet, but hopefully we’ll hear more on the new game soon.
