Wondering how to craft in Tears of the Kingdom? With the addition of a couple of new abilities, The Legend of Zelda TotK features a seemingly simple crafting system. But with a world as big as Hyrule, the possibilities this system enables are practically endless.

If you’re interested in making some Tears of the Kingdom vehicles, or perhaps you’re struggling to beat Tears of the Kingdom enemies with your base weapons, our Tears of the Kingdom crafting guide will solve all your problems.

How do you craft in Tears of the Kingdom?

Tears of the Kingdom’s crafting system is unlike many traditional crafting systems. It uses the Ultrahand and Fuse abilities to assemble overworld objects and to combine weapons, shields, monster parts, and items to create new ones. Link’s new abilities are essential to your time with TotK, so you should make sure to understand how they work and what you can do with them.

How do you craft using Ultrahand in Tears of the Kingdom?

The The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Ultrahand ability allows you to pick up objects, as well as stick objects together. For example, you can stick multiple logs together to create a makeshift raft. Ultrahand is the ability you’ll be using to build Tears of the Kingdom vehicles, so that you can explore Hyrule more efficiently.

Across Hyrule, you’ll be able to find various parts that can be assembled to create these vehicles. Most importantly, you need a means of powering them. While certain vehicles, such as a raft with a sail can be powered manually, such as by using a korok leaf, most will require some kind of engine.

By attaching a propeller, for example, you can turn a raft into a boat to sail across water, or alternatively, by pointing these propellers down, you can create flying machines to explore Sky Islands.

There seems to be no limit to the kinds of things you can create using Ultrahand, so get creative. If you stick something together and decide you want to undo it, Ultrahand allows you to remove a stuck object, letting you try things out and easily undo any mistakes.

How do you craft using Fuse in Tears of the Kingdom

While Ultrahand deals with overworld objects, Fuse is used to craft items from your inventory. This can be used to strengthen your weapons or add certain effects to them. For example, fusing a stick and a boulder can make a club which can be used to break open ore deposits, while fusing a keese eye with an arrow makes the arrow homing.

Many items in BotW were often not very useful, and Nintendo appears to have taken notice of that. With the introduction of Fuse, suddenly anything and everything you pick up in-game can be incredibly useful.

With the sheer number of different weapons and items available, the only way to get a handle on the Fuse ability is to try it out for yourself. Try out different combinations of weapons and items and see which ones you find the most useful.
