Want to share your coordinates with a friend in Tears of the Kingdom? Then you’ve come to the right place. Here, we’ll show you exactly how to do that in the follow-up to the brilliant The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Thanks to Link’s Purah Pad, which has map functionality, you’re able to get detailed information about exactly where items and objects of interests are in the world of Hyrule. These are called coordinates, and they’re a first in the series so will be unfamiliar to even seasoned Zelda fans.
Before we get started, you’re going to want to give yourself the best chance and find all Skyview Tower locations in Tears of the Kingdom. You’re also going to need a Purah Pad, which you get relatively early on in the game after a handful of quests. Now you’ve done that, let’s get started.
Firstly, you’re going to want to know where Coordinates can be found. Open up your Purah Pad by pressing the ‘-‘ button on your Nintendo Switch controller and head to the map. You’ll see small numbers to the bottom right of the pad, which you can see in the screenshot we have taken below
We’ve zoomed in for you to make this more clear – as there is a lot of information on the Pad. These are the coordinates.
Once you have found an area you like the look of, or want to remember or share with a friend. You’re going to need to hover over it and press ‘A’ to stamp a pin. Make note of the exact coordinates, and then share these with your friends. We have looked and there is no way yet to digitally share the coordinates in-game so your friends can see them – although we are hoping this is one of the features that comes in one of the many patches likely coming to the game.
Coordinates are a great way to mark things such as puzzles, ruins, caves, dragon tear locations, treasure and shrine locations. They’re also going to come in handy if you want to help gamers collect Korok Seeds, Bubbul Gems, Sage’s Wills and other rewards.
Now that you have mastered coordinates, why not go exploring the world of Hyrule for Great Fairy locations and Tears of the Kingdom shrine locations so you can get the practice in.
