During the Late Bloomer quest, you’ll be sent to Akila City in the Cheyenne system to track down a branch to further Kelton Frush’s study of the peculiar tree in New Atlantis. In Akila City, you’ll need to talk to Leah Casler then either steal the branch or convince the museum director to hand it over.

How to persuade Leah Casler in Starfield

To convince Leah Casler to hand over the branch in Starfield, select the following dialogue options:

  • [Persuade] I really need that tree branch.
  • I can be very annoying when I need to be. If you don’t give me that branch I won’t stop asking for it.
  • I’ll bring it back when I’m done with it, and I’ll make sure no damage is done to it.
  • I’m sure we can work something out.

There’s a degree of RNG in how persuasion works depending on how many points you’ve sunk into the Persuasion skill, so you may need to repeat these options a couple of times before Leah agrees to give you the branch.

Once you have the branch, dart back to New Atlantis on Jemison and track down Kelton by the large tree to give him the branch. Per previous missions in Kelton’s quest chain, you’ll have to wait a bit for the next part of the tree saga, which involves illegally uploading audio to an SSNN terminal in the commercial district.
