How to interact with red objects in Star Wars Jedi Survivor? Exploring Jedi Survivor’s planets, namely Koboh in the early game, you’ll come across objects – doors, walls, contraptions – marked as red. As red is the universal colour code for blocked access, we can infer that these take some type of special interaction to open or function. But just as the galaxy is shrouded in many mysteries, so is figuring out these red objects.

If you’re wondering how to interact with red objects in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, we’re here to help, especially if you’re jumping into the game without having played through Jedi Fallen Order. If you’re struggling with other environmental puzzles, check out how to break the glowing rocks on Koboh in Star Wars Jedi Survivor and how to fight Vashtan Wolfe in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor red objects explained

Red objects in Star Wars Jedi Survivor indicate that you don’t yet have the right force ability, tool, or BD-1 ability to interact with them. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock a host of new skills and abilities, ranging from BD-1’s Electro Dart to Cal’s Ascension cable tool and Lift and Slam Force power.

Once you’ve acquired these, you can backtrack to previously visited areas and use them to reach previously inaccessible areas and get through previously locked doors. In that sense, Jedi Survivor taps into the Metroidvania tradition whereby you won’t be able to fully explore many areas you’ll come across early in the game until much later on.

If you’ve come across a red object that just won’t budge, then don’t worry about it for now. Continue on with the story and you’ll eventually unlock the right ability or tool. The game makes it very obvious how these new skills work so you won’t ever be at a loss as to how to use them. On the contrary, you’ll have more than a few ‘oh, that’s how it works’ moments in Star Jedi Survivor.
