The game does eventually get round to teaching you the move, but it comes later than we’d like.

How to throw the lightsaber in Jedi Survivor

To throw your lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, hold down L1 and tap the triangle button on PS5 or hold down LB and tap the Y button on Xbox Series X|S. Cal will then throw his lightsaber straight forward in the direction he’s facing before it boomerangs back to him. If you’re locked onto an enemy, the lightsaber will automatically bolt towards the target causing damage.

The lightsaber throw works in all stances, including the starter single and double-bladed stances, so don’t hesitate to weave it in your go-to set of moves when taking on enemies. There’s no cool down on lightsaber throws, allowing you to use and abuse it to mow through large groups of enemies, especially if they get a little too close for comfort.
