How to heal in Jedi Survivor

Though developer Respawn has gone to great lengths to weave in a solid spread of tutorials to guide players through the early stages of Jedi Survivor, the game doesn’t necessarily do the best job of highlighting how to top up Cal’s health. And, in a game so focused on combat – and pretty unforgiving combat especially on higher difficulties – knowing how to heal is crucial to pushing Cal’s latest crusade against the Galactic Empire forward.

Jedi Survivor healing explained

To heal in Jedi Survivor, tap up on the d-pad on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Doing so calls on your trusty robot pal, BD-1, who will pull out a Stim (read health injection) and plunge it into Cal to restore a chunk of his health.

You can see how Stims you have available by checking the number next to the green cross on the left-hand most part of the in-game HUD. The number sits just above your selected lightsaber stances. At the start of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you’ll only carry two Stims at any one time. These replenish every time you rest at a meditation point. As the game progresses, you’ll unlock more stims, giving you the option to heal more times between visits to meditation points.
