The Remnant 2 Labyrinth Sentinel boss fight is one of the most unique in the game but is also one of the more difficult ones if you don’t have a strategy going in. Unlike the rest of Remnant 2’s boss fights, you can’t just rely on skill here, so even if you’re blitzing through every other enemy you face, that doesn’t mean that the Labyrinth Sentinel is going to be a walkover as well.

If you’re looking for more help with bosses, our Remnant 2 Nightweaver guide will give you some tips on how to take her down. Remnant 2 Labyrinth Sentinel: A cube rolling towards the player with its weak spot exposed.

Remnant 2 Labyrinth Sentinel boss guide

The Labyrinth Sentinel is not a ‘boss’ in the traditional sense. It takes the form of a series of cubes, some floating, and some rolling through a maze area. Each cube has at least one vulnerable point in the form of a glowing cube on its side, which will explode when hit, reducing its health bar. The aim of this fight is to destroy all of the glowing cubes without being rolled over.

The cubes are capable of rolling over you, which is an instant kill, so you want to avoid this as much as possible. Before you focus on shooting their weak spots, always be aware of where the giant cubes are in relation to you. A good way of doing this is to always try and stand diagonally to where the nearest cube is. This way, they can only ever roll to a space next to you, leaving you safe.

If taking a shot at a glowing cube might risk you getting run over, don’t shoot it – it’s more important to stay alive. There’s no time limit, so patience is your friend, and by taking your time to avoid dying, you’ll end up beating the boss faster than if you keep taking risks.

Remnant 2 Labyrinth Sentinel: A large crater on the side of one of the cubes.

Once a cube’s weak spot has been destroyed, the purple lines across the cube will disappear, indicating that you can move on to the next one. When the cube explodes, it will also create a crater in the side of the cube. This can be used to your advantage, as if a cube rolls over you with its cratered side facing down, you’ll actually be safe inside the crater, and won’t take any damage. Keep an eye out for this and use it where possible.

You’ll also notice there are a few floating cubes, too. These rotate continuously, making it difficult to know when their weak spots will be visible. We found the best way to deal with them, is to immediately focus them at the start of the fight. You begin in a large, relatively safe area, and area able to take down multiple floating cubes successively. This means when you’re in more cramped areas later in the fight, you won’t have to worry about the skies as well as the ground.

That’s everything you need to know to defeat the Remnant 2 Labyrinth Sentinel. Take your time, and stay aware of your surroundings, and you should be finished in no time.
