The Remnant 2 Nightweaver stands in your way at the end of the Losomn questline, so you’ll need to take her down if you want to progress any further. While this two-phase fight might seem brutally difficult at first, knowing how to effectively avoid her attacks will make this fight far less intimidating than it originally appears.

How to beat the Nightweaver in Remnant 2

The Nightweaver is a two-phase boss fight, meaning you’re going to have to manage your ammo well. If you’re accurate with your shots, you should be fine, but pick up a couple of Ammo Boxes in Ward 13 just in case you run out. Aside from that, some healing items might be good if you find yourself running out of healing too quickly.

Nightweaver first phase

In her first phase, the Nightweaver has five different attacks to watch out for, though most of these can be avoided with a dodge. Two of her attacks, she will fly towards the player, either clawing at them, or briefly stopping before clawing – either way, dodge sideways or towards her to avoid it. On the attack she immediately claws at you, she will then briefly fly upwards, before slamming the ground, dealing massive AoE damage. Dodge just as she is about to hit the ground, though this may take some practice to get the timing right.

She has two long-range attacks. First, she will create groups of four icicles and fire them at you. While these have slight homing on them, they can often be avoided by just walking sideways, but don’t be afraid to dodge if necessary. For her second ranged attack, she fires blue blobs at you which explode on impact. These can deal huge damage and stunlock if you aren’t careful, so as soon as you see this, run or dodge sideways.

Lastly, she will summon five large, blue bugs which run towards you. They have barely any health and will die in one hit, so simply dispatch these as soon as you see them and go back to fighting Nightweaver.

Your strategy here is simply to avoid taking damage and hit her hard in-between her attacks. She often hangs in the air for a few seconds between attacks, allowing you to deal plenty of damage in the meantime. Once her health bar is depleted she grabs you, taking you inside for phase two.

Nightweaver second phase

In her second phase, Nightweaver crawls on the ground, but the approach is largely the same. Avoid her icicles and kill the bugs she summons as before. As for her melee attacks, she has two. First, she will simply fling herself at you, which you can avoid by dodging sideways or towards her. The second, she will claw at you twice. These attacks and both heavily telegraphed, so simply dodge sideways or forward, and then do the same for the second attack.

Important to know is that she has one new attack in this phase which can easily kill you if you’re not careful. She will float up right in front of you, and attempt to grab you. If she successfully grabs you, she throws you to the ground and drains a huge amount of your health. Once you’re in the grab, you can’t escape until she finishes her attack, so avoid this one at all costs. If you see her telegraph an attack right next to you, dodge immediately to avoid this.

Once you’ve got her attacks down, your approach should be largely the same as the first phase. Wait for her to attack, and then get your damage in before the next one. Make good use of your skills and weapon mods to add to your damage where you can. She also occasionally disappears into the walls or floors, which is a great time to heal up.
