Where to Find the False Dragon Titan (Dondozo)

The False Dragon Titan, Dondozo, can be found on an island in the middle of Casseroya Lake. However, one key difference between finding this titan and finding every other titan is that the other titans were big enough to be found almost instantly.

To initiate the fight with Dondozo, you first have to interact with a specific Pokémon. Now, the island will be full of Tatsugiri, (fish-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet) and those Tatsugiri won’t attack you until you interact with them.

You have to find the biggest one that will be located towards the top of the island all alone and near the water. As soon as you interact with it, a short animation involving Dondozo will play out, and the first phase will begin.

How to Beat the False Dragon Titan Dondozo (Phase One)

Now, the first phase of fighting the False Dragon Titan will be fairly straight forward. Dondozo is a level 55 water type Pokémon, which makes it the strongest titan you’ve faced so far.

Your best bet would be to use a Pokémon either on the same or higher level than Dondozo, ensuring that it knows either electric or grass type moves so that you could get the type advantage in this battle.

If your attack doesn’t do as much damage as you’d hope, don’t worry as Dondozo specializes in defense, so that’s to be expected. Just keep on chipping away at its health until it retreats.

How to Beat the False Dragon Titan Dondozo (Phase Two)

Just like how you initiated the first battle with Dondozo, you’ll have to look for a Tatsugiri on a nearby island and interact with it to begin phase 2. Phase 2 of Dondozo is just like any other titan’s second phase. It eats a Herba Mystica to get a stat boost and recover some health.

While this does mean that the False Dragon Titan will be hitting you harder than before, while also being able to take more punishment, you won’t be alone this time, as Arven will fight with you.

Simply use the same tactic you used in the first phase of the fight, and you’ll be able to beat this phase of the fight before long by completing getting rid of Dondozo’s health.

How to Beat Tatsugiri (Phase Three)

Did you think the fight was over? After beating the False Dragon Titan, the ‘true’ Dragon Titan, Tatsugiri will battle you. Yes, the same Tatsugiri you were chasing around before. While it might be small in size, especially when compared to the other titans, don’t underestimate this little guy.

It has the stats one would expect from a Titan, and, in addition to also being level 55, is a water and dragon type. This means that the only two types of moves you should spam are dragon or fairy types if you want to take advantage of the type matchup.

Final Thoughts

Fortunately, Tatsugiri is the final phase of the fight, and after taking it down you can upgrade your Legendary one last time in order to finally put an end to the Path to Legends storyline. Time to tackle the others.
