So, you want to know how to get and redeem MW3 beta code? You’ve come to the right place. Modern Warfare 3 is the next big Call of Duty installment that’s set to arrive on November 10, and from what we’ve seen of the gameplay and features so far, it’s already shaping up to be one hell of a Call of Duty game – or maybe not, seeing how some players are already cancelling their pre-orders.

Activision is allowing players who pre-ordered the game to access the open beta and be amongst the first set of players to try out the game. If you aren’t caught up on the campaign yet, be sure to go over our Modern Warfare story so far guide. And while the PlayStation beta was underway, we tested some of the available weapons. So don’t hesitate to go over the best Striker loadout or even the best Holger 26 loadout in MW3 beta. For now, let’s take you through how to redeem the MW3 beta code.

How to get MW3 beta code

To get an MW3 beta code, you will need to pre-order either the Standard or Vault Edition of the game. If you’re located outside of the UK, this is the only way you can gain access to the game’s pre-release period, so make sure to get a copy of it ahead of the MW3 beta start time. This main method of entering MW3’s early access and open beta periods isn’t exactly surprising since this was also the only way of getting into MW2’s beta phase back in 2022.

Fortunately, if you reside in the UK, then you can also get into the MW3 open beta by heading to the EE website and signing up for their promo. The ongoing campaign is open to both customers and non-customers and will be available until a few days before the start of the pre-release phase. Keep in mind, though, that there are only a total of 150,000 codes up for grabs, which means open beta access through this method isn’t a sure thing.

Activision, along with notable CoD partners and news aggregators like CharlieIntel, have periodically been giving out beta codes through their official Twitter accounts as well. If you’re on the fence about buying the game, this is one of the ways you can gain access to the open beta. Keep in mind, though, that this isn’t a surefire method of getting into it, as thousands of other fans will also be attempting to get these beta keys.

How to redeem MW3 beta code

Don’t try and put your beta code into the console’s ‘Redeem code’ section. I tried that and you’ll find it doesn’t work. Instead, you’ve got to log in to your Call of Duty account. If you don’t have one, we advise doing this on desktop as we had some issues logging in and signing up via phone (iPhone).

  • Go to the official page to redeem your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Beta code.
  • Login/create a Call of Duty account and select your gaming platform and region.
  • The success page will confirm that you are registered for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Beta, and a platform-specific code will be emailed to you at a later date closer to when the Beta begins.

It’s worth adding that there are certain requirements to meet before you can play the beta. First off, an internet connection is required to participate. For PlayStation owners, a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required except for PS4 and PS5 owners in Germany. For Xbox users, an Xbox Live Core Subscription may be required, as well as a Battle.net or Steam account for all PC players.
