Atomgrad is Modern Warfare 2’s first-ever raid, as new to the franchise as it is to MW2 itself. This is an exciting opportunity for Modern Warfare gameplay to evolve, and players are tackling Atomgrad with gusto.

MW2 Atomgrad Tips – Class Balance
Each Kit available for the Atomgrad raid provides a wholly different specialization, each complementing the team in a unique way. Distributing kits between squadmates proficient in their use will ensure a well-rounded team.
Assault Kits draw fire, soak up damage and get up in the fray. Medic Kits keep the team going and bring fallen operators back from death. And Recon Kits allow for scouting, information advantage and frequent effective equipment use. With all kits firing at full capacity, Atomgrad becomes a significantly more manageable experience, even on veteran difficulty.

MW2 Atomgrad Tips – Don’t Rush Through
Players going into the Atomgrad raid for the first time might expect a quick burst of action, similar in length to a regular multiplayer round. But true to its name, Atomgrad is a punishing raid experience, and can take an average of two hours to complete, potentially more for the uninitiated.
Be sure you know what you’re getting into with Atomgrad, and set aside enough time to see the mission through. The last thing you want is to drop out mid-raid and cut your team’s promising run short.
MW2 Atomgrad Tips – Stealth And Supression
No matter how well prepared your squad is, the odds are not on your side in Atomgrad. This is a heavilly fortified area, and going guns blazing right away is likely to lead to disaster, or at the very least a nerve-fraying firefight.
Taking your time and picking off enemies with suppressed weapons will allow you to progress further into the raid without fighting for your life against reinforcements the entire way through.
Atomgrad – Puzzle Things Out Together
MW2’s Atomgrad raid isn’t all high stakes stealth and gunplay. There are several puzzles onver the course of the raid that require clear teamwork and communication. Don’t expect to rely on a single person to solve these brain-teasers, the puzzles will be much easier to complete with a team in sync with one another.
Atomgrad – Checkpoints Are A Lifeline
As mentioned, Atomgrad is a lengthy experience by Modern Warfare standards. Thankfully, Infinity Ward aren’t sadistic enough to make you restart the entire raid if your squad wipes out. Sure, some progress will be lost, but you’ll find yourselves back at the most recent checkpoint, ready to take another shot at whatever fiendish part of Atomgrad sent you there.
