How do you get called up in Road to the Show?
Play well in Road to the Show to get called up. It’s as simple as that. Don’t skip any games, and be sure to do all the practices. If you play well, you’ll eventually make it to AAA and then to the MLB level after that. There are some things you can do to make your path to the majors a little easier.
First, pick a team that needs the position you want to play. For example, in our playthrough, we selected the New York Yankees as a third baseman. They don’t have an established MLB player at that position right now. DJ LeMahieu is there, but he’s a natural second baseman and is also old and not a terribly high overall.
There’s not much standing in our way. If you want to play shortstop, pick a team that doesn’t have an established one right now. Furthermore, you should pick the right archetype. Don’t be a power-hitting shortstop or a contact-hitting right fielder.
As mentioned, don’t simulate your games. Even if you go 0/4 in a game, it’s far better than simulating. You can still get points for fielding and solid contact, so you should play them all as it will eventually increase your attributes.
Always check your perks. When you have some available, it’s a good idea to pick the highest rarity ones. You should also check which ones increase your overall rating. You’re a 71 with Power II equipped, but a 72 with Contact II equipped. Go with the latter.
We recommend keeping the difficulty low at first. It allows you to do well statistically, which is a bonus in these situations. And even if you do record an out, the rookie difficulty probably means you hit the ball well, which adds to your power attributes.
How long does it take to get called up in MLB The Show 24?
There is no set time to be called and it depend on how your overall rating is. Buying equipment is a really good way to get to MLB quick. It can be a grind to improve your overall entirely manually, but you can get cleats that will add four speed, a bat that adds three contact, a glove that adds five fielding, and anything else. These cost stubs, but they’re worth it.
Always do dynamic challenges as well. But be sure to pick the right ones. You may want to choose the one that involves hitting a home run. You should probably choose the “advance a runner” or “get an RBI” one and ensure you can complete it and get the boost. In the one below, we ended up driving in all runners, but we chose to do the first one since it represented the highest chance of success.
In clutch moments, if you come through, it gives extra attribute increase, so be on your game then. Also avoid strikeouts, because they hurt. On defense, don’t try anything fancy as it might hurt your defensive attributes if you make a silly mistake. That’s not how to get called up in MLB The Show 24.
Be patient as well. You can’t make it up to the show immediately. You have to spend a few months in the minors anyway, and if you’ve done everything above, the earliest opportunity might see you off to an advanced league and then the MLB level.
