The developers have added a few brand-new features to the mode to spice things up a bit in this year’s game. One of the most important new features is Custom Game Entry. This allows you to set certain conditions when you set up your save, for example, that you start controlling a game only when you’re losing after seven innings.
The game’s realism has been improved as well, with a real-time injuries setting. This means when you start a save, all injuries in your game will happen the same way that they have in real-life.
Returning features
As well as all the new content, scouting, training modes, budgeting and drafting all make a return to this year’s game, so veteran players can likely jump straight back in.
Another new feature is PPI (Prospect Performance Incentive). Thanks to this, if you promote some of your young prospects, then you’re rewarded with draft pick compensation, making it more worthwhile to put some of your younger stars into the team.
There have been some small improvements to the UI to make things easier to see, and a little more immersive. This includes a change to your player card where you can now see all the trophies in the awards section.
Lastly, there have been major improvements to the draft logic, especially when it comes to prospects, unsigned, undrafted, and injured players.
