Second, consider your perks. If you’ve unlocked power perks and have a playstyle for slugging, it might not behoove you to move to shortstop, a position that prioritizes contact. The same is true in reverse. Make note of what type of player you are and consider where best you fit on the diamond.

Thirdly, consider what positions are similar to your own:

• 1B and 3B are easy switches
• SS and 2B can be swapped
• LF, CF, RF can usually play any of the three

SP (starting pitcher) usually doesn’t play a lot of defense, but you can really be any position if you’re a two-way player, so it doesn’t matter much there.

I don’t want to change positions in Road to the Show. The announcers have noted that my speed and athleticism mean I could easily move off of third base if I wanted to, but since the Yankees have Anthony Volpe, another young star, at shortstop, I’ll leave it to him.
