Units are one of three currencies in Marvel Rivals, and these will help you get closer to purchasing new skins for the vast suite of characters the game has to offer. We’re here to explain the many ways you can earn them.
After grinding XP and winning matches, you might notice that you’re still not earning units. That’s because these are the hardest of the three currencies to obtain, so learning how to earn them is even more important. After all, who doesn’t want to dress Jeff the Land Shark up as a pink dolphin?
Every way to get units in Marvel Rivals
There are multiple ways to get units, but that doesn’t make it any easier. We’ve listed every way to earn units in the table below:
Method | Description |
---|---|
Achievement milestones | Completing different achievements in the game will also offer some units for players to enjoy. There are four different achievement categories, but the Heroic Journey section in particular has plenty of units on offer. |
Battle Pass rewards | The Battle Pass is full of rewards from skins to sprays. However, plenty of the tiers are also Lattices (which can be converted) to add to your pot. The Battle Pass is not free, of course, so you will need to spend money to purchase it, but are currently 300 units available this way. A unique quirk to Marvel Rivals is the Battle Pass does not expire, so you’re in no rush to complete it. |
Converting lattices | Lattices are the currency in-game you buy for real money, and that’s the only way to earn them. So, if you do drop cash on the game, this is the currency you will get and convert directly into units. Skins and bundles vary in cost, but there is no more direct way to get them, regardless of price, than simply buying them. The skins are purely cosmetic, offering no advantage to players. |
Event missions | The events tab has multiple options, with more coming in the future. If you look in here, there are various challenges, with some of them offering units as rewards. This is a small supply of them, but it’s better than none. |
Like with any live service game, the way you earn units may change in the future, so we’ll keep update this guide if NetEase reworks the currency, or more methods for earning units are added.
