How to level up in Lords of the Fallen

To level up in Lords of the Fallen, all you need to do is spend your saved Vigor at a Vestige. Vigor is your main currency in Lords of the Fallen, so think of them as Souls (Dark Souls) or Runes (Elden Ring).

When you have enough Vigor, visit any Vestige and select the ‘Upgrade character’ option. This will take you to the level-up menu where you can invest your Vigor into stats to increase the overall power of your character. You can upgrade your character whether you are in Axiom (the living world) or the Umbral Realm.

The method of leveling up remains the same whether you are on PlayStation, PC, or Xbox Series X/S. Simply go to a Vestige and level up. You can even use Vestige Seedlings to level up.

There are six stats that you can increase on your character – Strength, Agility, Endurance (stamina), Vitality, Radiance, and Inferno. Each stat governs a different part of your character and will increase damage on weapons, give you more HP, and even allow you to wield powerful magic using Catalysts.

LOTF is an RPG, so levelling up your stats is exactly how you get better at the game, deal more damage, and survive more hits.

You will naturally accrue Vigor as you beat enemies and bosses but don’t worry if you lose them. Vigor, like Souls, comes and goes. There’s no reason to feel frustrated if you happen to lose thousands of them from death, you can always get them back.
