Lightyear Frontier Merchant Landing build guide
The Merchant Landing can be found under the Constructs – Essentials section of the build menu. To build this structure, you will need the following materials:
- 10 Aluminum Rods
- 8 Red Crystals
- 10 Stones
These materials can all be gathered early on in the game. For starters, Aluminum Rods can be obtained by harvesting them from aluminum deposits in The Meadows and Pine Heights. Both regions have a fair amount of aluminum deposits so you shouldn’t have trouble getting the 10 required for the job.
Next up is the Red Crystal. This material is found in Pine Heights. To obtain it, you must first restore Pine Heights. Once that is done, you will be able to find Red Crystals in the upper part of the region near the ruins. Finally, the stone can be obtained by striking rocks with your Spike Saw. With all three materials, you will officially be able to build the Merchant depot.
What is the Merchant Landing used for in Lightyear Frontier?
Once you have the merchant structure built, you will see merchants start appearing on a daily basis. These NPCs will all be selling different items for various prices. They will also offer sales on some of their items.
Each time a new merchant appears, you will get notified by a sign at the top of your screen. The same sign will appear when the merchant is leaving for the day. They typically arrive in the morning and leave in the evening.

One of the best items that the merchant sells is mech parts. With these, you can change the look of your mech by going to the upgrade depot.
