If you’re struggling with how to find caves in LEGO Fortnite, then you’re not alone. While it’s required to complete a specific quest, you may have spent ages wandering aimlessly and found absolutely nothing. Luckily, while it’s still not the easiest thing in the world, we’ve got a couple of tips that will hopefully help your cave hunt a bit easier.

How to find caves in LEGO Fortnite
If you’re worried about your particular world not having any caves, don’t be. While all LEGO Fortnite world have random map seeds, each world is guaranteed to have at least one cave, so your search certainly won’t be over before it’s started.
Once you’re in your world, finding a cave is simply a matter of knowing what to look for. Looking out over your world, you may notice what appears to be a pile of grey rocks sticking out of the ground. These are especially easy to spot in flat areas where they look somewhat out of place. This is a cave entrance.
Simply head over, and on one side of the cave, you’ll find the cave entrance. Once you’ve found one, cave entrances will be marked on your map permanently with a small cave marker icon, so you won’t have to worry about forgetting where it was.

Caves in LEGO Fortnite are full of monsters and chests, containing some great loot that you’ll want to get your hands on. Before heading in, you’ll want to make sure you at least know how to craft a shortsword on your crafting bench to defend yourself. Caves can also be incredibly dark, so be sure to bring some torches too so you can navigate the cave more easily.
The main reason you want to head into caves is to loot the treasure chests found here. These contain plenty of resources, and you can find multiple chests in one cave, making them a very fruitful means of exploration. Resources we’ve found in caves include granite, wood, knotroot, marble, slurp mushrooms, arrows, and more.
If you’re worried about taking on a cave alone, you can ask one of your villagers to come along with you. This can be handy when it comes to fighting off hostile mobs like skeletons and spiders waiting for you in the cave, so we would recommend it, especially if it’s your first time.
