LEGO Fortnite is finally here! The new game mode brings a new adventure, allowing you to create your own worlds. To celebrate the launch of the new mode, Epic Games and LEGO teamed up to release a couple of free cosmetic items, including Trailblazer Tai.
To obtain Trailblazer Tai, you need to first go to the Item Shop and grab the True Explorers Quest Pack. The quest pack is free, but to obtain the skin, you will have to complete a couple of quests. One of these quests requires you to craft a Shortsword in a Survival World.
How to Craft a Shortsword in a LEGO Fortnite Survival World
The first step you need to do to complete this quest is to play LEGO Fortnite. Once you select the mode, you will need to create a new Survival World. Please keep in mind that you cannot change the world settings after you create it.
Crafting is a huge element of the new Fortnite game mode, so it’s no surprise that one of the new quests requires it. Getting a Shortsword requires a couple of steps, with the first one being building a Crafting Bench.
Once you have a Crafting Bench, you will need to upgrade it to Level 2. The basic bench can only give you axes, but to craft a Shortsword in LEGO Survival Word, you’ll need to upgrade it. To upgrade the bench to a new level, interact with it and switch to the Bench Upgrade tab.
Craft both Shortsword and Axe
You should collect enough materials to craft both a Shortsword and Axe in LEGO Fortnite. While Shortsword is great for combat, you need Axe to chop down trees and collect resources much faster.
With your new bench, you’ll be able to craft a Shortsword. However, you’ll notice that this item requires 5x Wooden Rod. To get a Wooden Rod, you’ll have to build a Lumber Mill, and then exchange wood for it.
Finally, once you have Wooden Rods, go back to your Crafting Bench and craft a Shortsword. This is a Common (Gray) item that deals 3 damage and is very effective against enemies.
After you invite an NPC to live in your village in LEGO Fortnite, you will receive this quest. This is the second quest that you will need to complete to unlock Trailblazer Tai, so if you like the skin, make sure to do it as quickly as possible.
