Is The Thaumaturge on Switch?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing The Thaumaturge is not coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game is initially set to only release on PC before making its way to consoles later on in the year. However, the Switch is not included in this later console release, with no news on whether the game is going to make its way to the platform alongside other consoles.

This is undoubtedly disappointing for many Switch owners, as it seems like the game would be a great fit for the Switch with its simple, but unique combat system and intriguing setting. But if you want to play it on launch, your only option is to buy the game on PC.

Will The Thaumaturge come to the Switch in future?

Until we hear an official announcement from developer Fool’s Theory or publisher 11 bit studios, we can’t know for certain whether or not a Switch port is in the works. However, we think that there’s certainly a possibility of it happening in the future.

Many indie games have started out on other platforms before making their way to the Switch later, and there is no reason why The Thaumaturge couldn’t do the same. This is especially true if the game does well, with a high player count on other platforms perhaps signalling good demand for a port on the Switch. But until then, we’ll just have to wait and see.
