Is Tekken 8 on Switch? The next fighting game from Bandai Namco has been a long time in the works, and the series has rarely made its way to any Nintendo consoles.
This is surprising, considering how Tekken games have previously found a home on the PSP and the PS Vita, both handheld consoles made by Sony, you would think it could see life on Nintendo’s handhelds. With nearly 10 years since the last Tekken game, you might think this would be the perfect time to bring a mainline game to Nintendo.

Is Tekken 8 on Nintendo Switch?
No. Tekken 8 is not available to play on the Nintendo Switch. As it stands, Tekken 8 will only be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Outside of these platforms, there has been no word from Bandai Namco on whether or not Tekken 8 will come to Nintendo. We have seen in trailers and other promotional material that the only places Tekken 8 will be released for have been announced.
There have only been three Tekken games on Nintendo consoles, and these were all spin-off games: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U, Tekken 3D Prime on the 3DS, and Tekken Advance on the GBA. This could have been a toe dip to see how it would perform, but no more Tekken games were ever released on Nintendo consoles.
The Switch has slowly been getting its fair share of ports over the years. This could well continue, and Bandai might announce a Tekken 8 port in the future, but it could also be the case the games are too graphically intense for the Switch’s limited processing power.
