How to track Helldivers 2 Galactic War Status

Helldivers 2’s War Status can be tracked right from the Galactic War console near the front of your Destroyer ship. You can also open the ‘Dispatches’ menu on the bottom right of your screen for the latest Major Order. This is done by pressing Z on PC or L2 on PS5. They involve using specific weapons, stratagems, or targeting specific enemies to succeed. If you enter a match with allies, their kills also count towards your Personal Order. While there is no consequence for failing a Personal Order, you lose out on some Warbond Medals. Here are some Personal Orders that Helldivers 2 players have come across in the past:

• Destroy 2 Annihilator Tanks
• Kill 20 Scout Striders
• Kill 10 enemies with the Expendable Anti-Tank
• Kill 2 Bile Titans
• Safely extract from a mission 3 times

How does Liberation progress work in Helldivers 2?

Finishing missions during Liberation Campaigns will push the liberation progress towards 100 percent. A planet being liberated will steadily lower its liberation progress if enough players aren’t finishing missions. This rate can be altered by the Game Master. Only a certain number of planets are accessible at any given time in Helldivers 2. Inaccessible planets are either completely liberated or are blocked by other planets that need liberating. Invading forces can be fought in Defend Campaign missions while Liberation Campaigns are focused on pushing the liberation status to 100 percent.

Progress in the Galactic War is determined by how much effort each player has put into liberating planets in Helldivers 2. This includes primary objectives, clearing specific structures, or failing to do so. Liberation progress for a planet starts at zero percent and successful missions push this towards 100 percent. But remember that the liberation progress bar percentage will steadily decline if players are not actively finishing missions.
