Let’s look at the Granblue Fantasy: Relink Damage Cap Sigil and what the skill does. With a huge variety of Sigils and traits available to you, knowing what each one does is half the battle. Damage Cap is crucial, and we’ll explain why.

Damage Cap is a Trait that does what you might expect: raises the cap on how much damage you can do. This Trait comes directly from Sigils, but there are other ways to increase your character’s Damage Cap.

How to get Damage Cap Sigil in Granblue Fantasy: Relink

The Damage Cap Sigil is obtained in a few ways, but you will mostly get them from Curios, Quest Rewards, and Sigil Transmutation with Siero. These three methods become available after you beat the game and unlock the end game. We suggest waiting until you reach Maniac and Proud mode, as this will also unlock Siero’s Transmarvel option.

To get Damage Cap Sigils, trade in your Knickknack Vouchers with Siero using the Level 3 Transmutation method. If you need Knickknack Vouchers, you should consider trading in all your Sigils from level 3 and below. Furthermore, if you can find an elusive Rainbow Slime, you will get 500 Knickknack Vouchers from that drop alone.

One of the best ways to get Knickknack Vouchers is to farm the Slimepede quest. Doing so will reward you with money, MSP, EXP, and Spellbook items. If your characters are all at level 100 – which will happen in no time if you do Slimepede – you can trade these EXP books with Siero for more Knickknack Vouchers. The unfortunate reality is you simply need to be blessed by the RNG to get more Damage Cap Sigils.

Quests that drop Damage Cap Sigils

There are some quests you can tackle that have a chance to drop Damage Cap Sigils upon completion. While this is a good way to get a guaranteed Damage Cap Sigil, it isn’t the best unless you can clear it incredibly fast.

What is Damage Cap in Granblue Fantasy: Relink?

Damage Cap is a Trait in Granblue Fantasy: Relink that increases the damage your attacks and skills can do. You can only pump your characters with so much Attack before the cap kicks in, which is why the Damage Cap Sigil is needed to further enhance your damage numbers. By the time you reach Maniac and Proud quests, you will probably start seeing you’ve hit the current cap.

✓ Jack’s advice

How to tell you’ve hit the damage cap?

If you look closely at your attack numbers and see it has a bright yellow outline around it, then you are currently capped with your damage. To increase your damage, you need more Damage Cap trait levels.

Every character can increase their Damage Cap in their Masteries board. This way you will naturally have characters who can deal decent damage and break the cap by the time you start needing it. Adding on Damage Cap Sigils is how you increase your damage further.

Realistically, you want to invest in levelling up your Damage Cap Sigils and run them on every character you use. At the maximum level, Damage Cap will raise the cap to 250%. For the Sigil, this applies to your Normal and Special Attacks, your Skill DMG, and your SBA DMG.
