Nahida, the Dendro Archon herself, is an amazing support and DPS character, and to find the best weapons for Nahida, you want to keep her role in mind.

Using a Dendro Catalyst, Nahida’s main power lies in her versatile kit that lets her perform as a sub-DPS and support character to tremendous results. Some weapons are built for specific character types, but she can work with a bunch of strong options, and we’ve used our expertise to pick some of the best weapons for Nahida.

For more Genshin Impact, make sure you read our expert guides covering the Nahida Talent and Ascension materials and the best team comps for Nahida. Now, let’s look at the best weapons for Nahida to help make her an unstoppable force of Dendro reactions.

9. Magic Guide

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +354
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +187
  • Passive Effect: Increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro by 12%.

The Magic Guide is probably the most convenient F2P option, as it is a three-star weapon that most of you will easily come across on your travels. This means that refining it to higher ranks will be a piece of cake, and you will be able to extract its full value in reaction-focused Nahida comps.

While the base attack sub-stat is relatively unimpressive, the bonus stat on Elemental Mastery is excellent at 187 points. However, the real appeal of this weapon is with the Elemental Skill, which, when refined, will boost your Nahida’s damage by around 25% in comps where you are running the Hyperbloom and Quicken reactions.

✓ our advice

A temporary weapon

Magic Guide is, really, a terrible weapon for anyone. It helps if you literally have nothing to give your characters. Outside of that, it can be useful if you’re still in the early game and haven’t done a ton of wishing.

8. Sacrificial Fragments

  • Lvl 90 Base Attack: Attack +454
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +221
  • Passive Effect: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.

Sacrificial Fragments should be a weapon you with Nahida only when you have no other options or you need to boost her EM stat. Her Skill has an incredibly short cooldown, which means it doesn’t benefit hugely from the passive effect to reset her skill’s cooldown.

Nahida’s Seeds of Skandha, the effect that marks enemies and links them from her Skill, lasts for 25 seconds, which makes the passive effect on this weapon completely useless for her. However, if you want to pump up some EM and you don’t have any other weapon to hand, this will go a long way with Nahida until you can replace it.

7. Mappa Mare

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +565
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +110
  • Passive Effect: Triggering an Elemental reaction grants an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10s. Max 2 stacks

The Mappa Mare is a simple craftable four-star weapon that any player can get their hands on. This makes it a very convenient option for those of you who are F2P, and due to its craftable nature, you can even refine it to reach the maximum rank with ease to get the most value out of the weapon.

The weapon has a fairly low Elemental Mastery sub-stat, but the Base Attack value is extremely high, especially for a four-star weapon. The passive is a handy boost to Nahida’s Dendro damage, which will be further enhanced by reactions in most comps. However, if you can get your hands on a weapon with higher Refinements, then you should pick it for Nahida.

6. The Widsith

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +510
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: 55.1% CRIT DMG
  • Passive Effect: When a character takes the field, they will gain a random theme song for 10s. This can only occur once every 30s. Recitative: ATK is increased by 60%. Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48%. Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240.

The Widsith is a fairly common four-star Catalyst that you can get from the gacha. This makes it much easier for you to obtain, and its skill makes it a decent option to justify using it on Nahida. Nahida doesn’t typically want a ton of Crit DMG, but it will help her if you’ve reached roughly 800 EM on her.

The downside of the skill is the RNG associated with it, which may make your damage seem slightly inconsistent. However, the weapon comes with a respectable Base Attack value and a very impressive Crit Damage value that will make your Elemental Reactions hurt a lot more. The skill itself also provides a mighty buff to your Elemental Damage or Elemental Mastery as long as you get lucky.

5. Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +608
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Crit Rate +33.1%
  • Passive Effect: Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

The Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds is one of the five-star catalysts that were initially released with the game. The only way to obtain this weapon is by getting it on the weapon banner or by reaching pity on the Standard banner, but your chances of getting it are extremely low. With that said, those of you who already have the weapon should know its potential, especially when you want to give it to Nahida to be your main DPS.

The weapon is a fantastic stat stick with a whopping 608 Base Attack, one of the highest in the catalyst class. It also comes with a very useful Crit Rate sub-stat that can let you focus on stacking Elemental Mastery Artifacts on Nahida, buffing all aspects of her kit. The passive is equally impressive as you can stack around 24% extra Elemental Damage as long as Nahida is serving as an on-field DPS.

Want DPS Nahida?

Nahida is both a support and a DPS. To make her you main DPS, this weapon will be extremelt helpful as it encourages her to spend more time on-field. When building Nahida as a main DPS, you want a typical mixture of main stats on your Artifacts, with dendro DMG, EM and Crit DMG. We think she is more useful as a support, so bear this in mind.

4. Fruit of Fulfilment

The Fruit of Fulfillment in Genshin Impact.

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +510
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge +45.9%
  • Passive Effect: Obtain the “Wax and Wane” effect after an Elemental Reaction is triggered, gaining 24 Elemental Mastery while losing 5% ATK. For every 0.3s, 1 stack of Wax and Wane can be gained. Max 5 stacks. For every 6s that goes by without an Elemental Reaction being triggered, 1 stack will be lost. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.

The Fruit of Fulfilment is a wonderful F2P weapon for Nahida and it can be crafted when you reach Sumeru and complete the Aranara quest line. The passive might sound bad, but you want to pump as much EM into Nahida as possible, making the loss of ATK worth it in the long run.

This is only suitable for Nahida as an off-field support, so bear this in mind if you want to use it. The ER stat on the Fruit of Fulfillment will give Nahida more than she will ever need, which is good to have covered for her Burst usage.

3. Wandering Evenstar

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +510
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +165
  • Passive Effect: The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 24% of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.

The Wandering Evenstar is a powerful four-star Catalyst obtained from specific weapon banners. Many of you might have already gotten it while wishing for a five-star weapon, but it is rarely on the banner. Having said that, this Catalyst is an excellent choice for Nahida builds thanks to the EM it provides.

The weapon has both an above-average Base Attack and an above-average Elemental Mastery bonus for Nahida. The passive will be up your lane if you are running a sub-DPS Nahida as it converts Nahida’s Elemental Mastery into bonus Attack Damage for both herself and her fellow party members. This allows your Nahida to provide double the utility for your team as both a buffer and sub-DPS.

2. Kagura’s Verity

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +608
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: CRIT DMG +66.2%
  • Passive Effect: Gains the Kagura Dance effect when using an Elemental Skill, causing the Elemental Skill DMG of the character wielding this weapon to increase by 12% for 16s. Max 3 stacks. This character will gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus when they possess 3 stacks.

Kagura’s Verity is Yae Miko’s signature weapon that can only be obtained from the premium gacha banner. However, it can also be quite useful on Nahida and serves as one of her best weapons if you are running a more DPS-oriented Nahida build. This would be one of the best weapons for Nahida as a DPS.

Since Nahida’s Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills both deal CRIT damage, the boost from this weapon can be highly potent. Plus, the weapon has an extremely high Base Attack value which can prove to be very useful for a DPS-oriented build. The weapon skill itself will also boost her Elemental Skill damage, and while some of the uptime may be wasted, it is still quite a significant increase in damage.

Just because it’s good, doesn’t mean you should

Generally speaking, this is a fantastic weapon for Nahida which is why we put it in the list. However, we wouldn’t recommend using this weapon with Nahida if you have Yae Miko in the same team. Since Electro + Dendro reactions are some of the strongest in the game, you will want Yae to have this weapon and let Nahida trigger reactions with her mountains of EM to melt your enemies away.

1. A Thousand Floating Dreams

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +542
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +265
  • Passive Effect: Equipping Character gains buffs based on other party members’ elemental type. If their elemental type is the same as the equipping character, Elemental Mastery is increased by 32. If not, the equipping character’s elemental DMG Bonus is increased by 10%. Each effect can stack by a maximum of 3. All nearby party members will also gain an additional 40 Elemental Mastery.

A Thousand Floating Dreams is the best weapon for Nahida without contest. As her signature five-star Catalyst, it can only be obtained from her related weapon banner. This catalyst weapon’s stats and skills perfectly match Nahida’s playstyle, and you can even run it on almost any build on her. With that said, a DPS-focused build won’t benefit much from this weapon. For Support Nahida, this weapon is so good that any other Catalyst just can not compete with it.

The weapon has a relatively high Attack, but the real bonus stat is the whopping 265 Elemental Mastery that this weapon can provide. Floating Dreams also has a potent stacking effect that can either increase your Elemental Damage by 30% or your Elemental Mastery by around 100 points which are both extremely useful for Nahida to shine.

So, we can see how Nahida’s builds will primarily focus on maximizing her Elemental Mastery to extremely high numbers and focus on having her do the maximum Elemental Reactions. To this end, the Catalysts on this list are the best weapons for Nahida, but you can definitely use others if you find them useful.

That’s all you need to know about the best weapons for Nahida. For more expert guides, we have plenty more covering how to get to Inazuma and the best builds and weapons for Yelan.

Nahdia best weapons FAQs

Can Nahida be a Main DPS?

Yes, but we don’t recommend it. Her playstyle and kit are better suited to the support role, however, you can get a ton of mileage from a DPS-focused Nahida. The best weapons for Nahida in this case would be Kagura’s Verity or Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds.

Why is Elemental Mastery so important to Nahida?

Dendro reactions are ridiculously strong in Genshin Impact and this stat directly relates to how powerful your reactions are. Dendro-based reactions have extremely high multipliers, making them great for tough enemies. Using Nahida to enable these Dendro reactions with high EM will mean tons of DPS.
