Want to know the best weapons for Xiangling in Genshin Impact? We’re looking at some prime contenders for this fantastic four-star character.

Xiangling is everybody’s favourite pyro cook from Liyue. She is a polearm user who comes paired with her trusty companion Guoba, and they are sure to wreak some pyro mayhem on your enemies. She has various builds that can suit different playstyles, each with unique synergies with other weapons.

For more Genshin, we have guides covering every playable character in the game and the best Battle Pass weapons to pick. Now, let’s get into the best weapons Xiangling in Genshin Impact.

Staff of the Scarlet Sands

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +542
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate +44.1%
  • Passive Effect: The equipping character gains 52% of their Elemental Mastery as a bonus ATK. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you will achieve the Dream of the Scarlet Sands effect for 10s: The equipping character will earn 28% of their Elemental Mastery as a bonus ATK. Max 3 stacks.

While Staff of the Scarlet Sands is better utilised on others like Cyno or even Hu Tao, it can be given to Xiangling because of the significant Elemental Mastery bonus it provides. Due to the limited nature of this event Banner weapon, you probably won’t have one spare, but just know it works well on Xiangling.

The weapon provides decent Crit Rate as a bonus stat that allows you to focus your artifacts on Crit Damage. Not only this, but those focusing on Elemental Mastery artifacts will also get a powerful Attack buff. This makes the weapon very efficient if you are going for a hybrid build.

Dragon’s Bane

Genshin Impact best weapons for Xiangling: showing the dragon's bane weapon
  • Lvl. 90 Base ATK: Attack +454
  • Lvl. 90 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery +221
  • Passive Effect: Increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro by 20%

Those planning on running Xiangling only to use her Burst will get a ton of use out of the Dragon’s Bane polearm. The weapon is a four-star rarity and can only be attained through wishing on the gacha banners, making it relatively accessible. It provides a reasonably hefty Elemental Mastery increase of 221. This buff to Elemental Mastery will allow your reactions to hit harder, and Xiangling’s Burst is amazing at applying Pryo.

Not only that, but the weapon’s passive ability increases damage to opponents affected by Hydro/Pyro, making it quite suitable to run in vaporize or other Pyro element reaction-based comps. This is perfect for your essential skill and burst where you majorly rely on applying primary effects for reactions.

Favonius Lance

Genshin Impact best weapons for Xiangling shows her holding the Favonius Lance
  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +741
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge +30.6%
  • Passive Effect: CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.

The Favonius Lance is perfect for characters who need Energy Recharge, and it’s a fantastic weapon for generating particles for your whole team. Xiangling is an energy-hungry character, who has a high Burst cost and this weapon goes a long way in regenerating her Burst to use as soon as it’s off cooldown.

As a four-star weapon, the Favonius Lance can only be gained through wishing on any banner. It has a default chance to drop and you might’ve encountered a few of them by now if you’ve been playing Genshin for a long time.

Calamity Queller

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +741
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: ATK +16.5%
  • Passive Effect: Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus. Obtain Consummation for the 20s after using an Elemental Skill, causing ATK to increase by 3.2% per second. This ATK increase has a maximum of 6 stacks. When the character equipped with this weapon is not on the field, Consummation’s ATK increase is doubled.

The Calamity Queller is a five-star weapon that can only be obtained from the weapon Banner that runs alongside Shenhe, a five-star character. This weapon possesses one of the most vigorous attack boosts in the game that any polearm user would be happy to have, but it does suit Shenhe far better than anyone else.

Xiangling’s playstyle as a sub-DPS primarily relies on her Skill and Burst. Each time you use Guoba, you receive further attack increases making you hit even harder, which is decent for a DPS Xiangling. When you swap off Xiangling, your damage stack doubles, making it ideal for a sub-DPS swapping tool after you’ve used Xiangling’s Burst.

The Catch

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +510
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge +45.9%
  • Passive Effect: Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 32% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 12%.

The Catch is everybody’s favourite free-to-play polearm. While acquiring it and getting it to R5 will require a lot (and we mean a lot) of fishing, it is perhaps the most important choice available to free-to-play players for Support Xiangling builds. If you do not already have a character who uses this weapon, hand its powerful buffs over to Xiangling.

Even outside of F2P options, The Catch is one of the best weapons for Xiangling, and perhaps her best weapon unless Raiden is using it. The Energy Recharge bonus stat is perfect for Xiangling since it means the best part of her kit – her Burst – can be recharged faster and used more frequently.

This weapon at R5 provides a powerful buff to your Elemental Burst damage, which is what Support or sub-DPS Xiangling is primarily used for. It gives a compelling damage increase to her elemental burst, allowing her to showcase why she is considered one of the best characters among the four stars. If you want to know how to get it, follow our guide on how to get The Catch.

The Catch is Xiangling’s best weapon

Due to its free-to-play status, ER increase, and Burst DMG increase, this is the easiest and best weapon for Xiangling. Other weapons listed on here can be used better by others, with a small exception being the Dragon’s Bane.

Engulfing Lightning

  • Lvl 90 Base ATK: Attack +608
  • Lvl 90 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge +55.1%
  • Passive Effect: ATK increased by 28% of Energy Recharge over the base 100%. You can gain a maximum bonus of 80% ATK. Gain 30% Energy Recharge for 12s after using an Elemental Burst.

Those looking to use the best weapon for Xiangling need not look further than the Engulfing Lightning. This is another highly coveted five-star Banner weapon. With that in mind, this weapon is Raiden Shogun’s best-in-slot weapon and is far better utilised on her than Xiangling, especially when The Catch exists.

The Engulfing Lightning provides a powerful Energy Recharge sub-stat that will let you cycle your Elemental Burst immediately after the cooldown ends, which is always what you want in the best weapon for Xiangling. Not only this, but the weapon skill allows you to stack this ER and use it to increase your Burst’s damage directly.
