We’re looking at the best builds for Furina in Genshin Impact. As the reigning Hydro Archon of Fontaine – and our hearts – Furina is an incredibly versatile character who can fulfil several roles.

Thanks to this versatility Furina can be a healer-focused character or a sub-DPS support. Thanks to her scaling from HP across the board, you can effectively switch between these roles on the fly, depending on your Artifact setup.

Elsewhere in Genshin, take a look at the current Genshin redemption codes and all the playable characters in the game. Now, these are the best builds for Furina in Genshin Impact.

Furina best sub-DPS builds

As a sub-DPS, Furina can dish out serious damage with her Elemental Skill. While in her Ousia form –where Furina wears darker clothing – using her Skill will summon three companions who will attack enemies with Hydro.

While you can change Furina between Ousia and Pneuma by using her Charged Attack, you generally will want to keep her in one form depending on how you build her. Staying in Ousia is perfect for Furina to deal damage as a sub-DPS.

Furina best weapons for sub-DPS

The best weapon for Furina is the Splendor of Tranquil Waters. This weapon is her uncontested best-in-slot sword and can only be attained through the weapon banner that runs alongside Furina.

Furina only scales from one stat: HP. By giving Furina HP, you will simultaneously increase her personal DPS and her healing while in her Pnuema form. To this end, any support Sword will suit Furina perfectly well, and we will list some excellent choices for her:

WeaponRaritySub-StatPassive
Splendor of Tranquil Waters5-StarCrit DMGWhen the equipping character’s current HP increases or decreases, Elemental Skill DMG dealt will be increased by 8% for 6s. Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s. When other party members’ current HP increases or decreases, the equipping character’s Max HP will be increased by 14% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s. The aforementioned effects can be triggered even if the wielder is off-field.
Key of Khaj-Nisut5-StarHP%HP increased by 20%. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20s. This effect increases the equipping character’s Elemental Mastery by 0.12% of their Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. Max 3 stacks. When this effect gains 3 stacks, or when the third stack’s duration is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will be increased by 0.2% of the equipping character’s max HP for 20s.
Festering Desire4-StarEnergy RechargeIncreases Elemental Skill DMG by 16% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6%.
Wolf-Fang (Battle Pass)4-StarCrit RateDMG dealt by Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst is increased by 16%. When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, its CRIT Rate will be increased by 2%. When an Elemental Burst hits an opponent, its CRIT Rate will be increased by 2%. Both of these effects last 10s separately, have 4 max stacks, and can be triggered once every 0.1s.
Fleuve Cendre Ferryman4-StarEnergy RechargeIncreases Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 8%. Additionally, increases Energy Recharge by 16% for 5s after using an Elemental Skill.

The weapons for Furina as a sub-DPS are almost entirely the same as if she were in a support build. No matter what, the Splendor of Tranquil Waters is Furina’s best weapon and this is because of the balance between support and DPS. Since Furina’s Skill fluctuates your team’s HP, she activates the passive effects and gets a ton of bonuses from using the weapon.

If you don’t have her five-star sword, we would recommend the Wolf-Fang if you buy the Battle Pass, the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman since it is free through Fishing, or the Festering Desire if you have it from the event from patch 1.2. No matter the sword, the best builds for Furina will mostly come down to Artifacts.

Furina best Artifacts for sub-DPS builds

The best Artifact Set for Furina is the Golden Troupe. Since Furina will be dealing damage through her Skill and Ultimate, the only important choice that matters with how you build her is the Artifact set you use.

The Golden Troupe will maximise her Skill damage, but you need to keep Furina in her Ousia form so that her Salon friends keep attacking foes in front of you. Since Furina drains the HP pool of the entire party, a dedicated healer is a must-have for sub-DPS Furina.

ArtifactSet BonusReason
Golden Troupe x42-Piece: Elemental Skill DMG +20%
4-Piece: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field.
Since Furina can only be an off-field sub-DPS without being C6, the Golden Troupe is her best Artifact Set by far. It increases her Skill DMG while not on the field, making it extremely powerful for her kit.
Nymph’s Dream x 2

Vourukasha’s Glow x2
2-Piece: Hydro DMG bonus +15%
2-Piece: HP +20%
While not at all optimal, you can opt for this more offensive-based Artifact Set for Furina. She gets a Hydro DMG bonus and an HP increase from these two. It might be fun to play around with if you don’t want to opt for the Golden Troupe.

When it comes to Furina’s Artifacts, you want to have HP, Hydro DMG, and Crit Rate/DMG as befits a sub-DPS. Aim for these stats on your Artifacts:

  • Sands: HP% or Energy Recharge
  • Goblet: HP% or Hydro DMG
  • Circlet: Crit Rate or Crit DMG

Don’t forget about Energy Recharge

ER is arguably Furina’s second-most important stat. Her Burst is extremely powerful and can provide a huge buff to your team, so aiming for 100% uptime on Furina’s Burst with massive ER is one of the best things you can do for her.

Furina best support builds

As a support character, Furina can be your off-field healer thanks to her Elemental Skill while in her Pneuma form. When doing this, Furina places a Salon member on the ground who will heal your active character.

Furina best weapon for support builds

With support in mind, the main thing that changes for this Furina build is to switch up her Artifacts. Depending on the weapons you have available, there are two choices here that could help you further enhance Furina’s HP for more healing and support.

WeaponRaritySub-StatPassive
Key of Khaj-Nisut5-StarHP%HP increased by 20%. When an Elemental Skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20s. This effect increases the equipping character’s Elemental Mastery by 0.12% of their Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. Max 3 stacks. When this effect gains 3 stacks, or when the third stack’s duration is refreshed, the Elemental Mastery of all nearby party members will be increased by 0.2% of the equipping character’s max HP for 20s.
Dockhand’s Assisstant4-StarHP%When the wielder is healed or heals others, they will gain a Stoic’s Symbol for 30s, max 3 Symbols. Upon Elemental Skill or Burst usage, consume all Symbols to get the Roused effect for 10s. For each Symbol consumed, gain 40 Elemental Mastery, and after 2s, restore 2 Energy per Symbol. The Roused effect can be triggered once every 15s, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is off-field.
Favonius Sword4-StarEnergy RechargeCRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.

Her weapon choices remain mostly the same as with the sub-DPS build, but you might want to switch to the Key of Khaj-Nisut if you have it for a bit more HP, or the Favonius Sword for more ER and particle generation for your team, otherwise, the options above are perfect for her.

Furina best Artifacts for support builds

The best Artifact set for support Furina is the Ocean-Hued Clam. As mentioned, the biggest change for Furina as a support is to keep her in Pneuma form, which will turn her Skill into a healing effect for your active character.

To this end, you want an Artifact set that will amplify her HP and healing, which is exactly what the Ocean-Hued Clam will do for her.

Artifact SetSet BonusReason
Ocean-Hued Clam x42-Piece: Healing Bonus +15%
4-Piece: When the character equipping this artifact set heals a character in the party, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear for 3 seconds, accumulating the amount of HP recovered from healing (including overflow healing). At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby opponents based on 90% of the accumulated healing. (This DMG is calculated similarly to Reactions such as Electro-Charged, and Superconduct, but is not affected by Elemental Mastery, Character Levels, or Reaction DMG Bonuses). Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP (including overflow healing). There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this Artifact set is not on the field.
The Ocean-Hued Clam increases Furina’s healing and it provides extra healing to your characters thanks to the Sea-Dyed Foam that spawns when your healing ticks. When it bursts, the Sea-Dyed Foam will damage enemies in an AOE, and this damage can be substantial.

When you’re using Furina as a support-focused character, you want to slightly change your Artifact stats, moving away from Hydro DMG and pumping as much HP and Energy Recharge as possible into Furina. We recommend a Healing Bonus Circlet over HP%, and you should only use a Healing Bonus Circlet that has HP substats to get the best of both worlds.

  • Sands: HP% or Energy Recharge
  • Goblet: HP%
  • Circlet: Healing Bonus

Furina is the ultimate all-rounder

The only important difference that will change Furina’s overall build and playstyle is the Artifact set you give her. Golden Troupe will make her a sub-DPS while Ocean-Hued Clam will settle her into a healer / support build. Nothing else changes for her since her scaling is purely HP.

Furina Talent priority

Furina’s Talents should be levelled in this order:

  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Normal Attack

Furina’s Skill is her main way to deal damage and help with support, making it the most important Talent to level first. Her healing and DMG are bolstered through her Skill, so be sure to get the materials you need for this. Eventually, you will want all of her Talents to be max level.

Furina Constellations

Furina’s Constellations help to improve her already fantastic kit. While they are not necessary for her to shine as a brilliant sub-DPS or support, her C6 Constellation gives her Hydro Infusion which will increase her personal damage for a short time. Her C6 does give her the chance to be an on-field DPS, but it is not the optimal way to play her, so don’t feel like you need to get all six of her Constellations.

ConstellationEffect
C1: Love Is a Rebellious Bird That None Can TameWhen using Let the People Rejoice, Furina will gain 150 Fanfare. Additionally, Furina’s Fanfare limit is increased by 100.
C2: A Woman Adapts Like Duckweed in WaterWhile Let the People Rejoice lasts, Furina’s Fanfare gain from increases or decreases in nearby characters’ HP is increased by 250%. Each point of Fanfare above the limit will increase Furina’s Max HP by 0.35%. Her maximum Max HP increase is 140%.
C3: My Secret Is Hidden Within Me, No One Will Know My NameIncreases the Level of Let the People Rejoice by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4: They Know Not Life, Who Dwelt in the Netherworld Not!When the Salon Members from Salon Solitaire hit an opponent, or the Singer of Many Waters restores HP to the active character, Furina will restore 4 Energy. This effect triggers once every 5s.
C5: His Name I Now Know, It Is…!Increases the Level of Salon Solitaire by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6: Hear Me – Let Us Raise the Chalice of Love! When using the Elemental Skill Salon Solitaire, Furina gains Center of Attention for 10s.
Throughout the duration, Furina’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks are converted into Hydro DMG which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion. DMG is also increased by an amount equivalent to 18% of Furina’s max HP.
Throughout the duration, Furina’s Normal Attacks (not including Arkhe: Seats Sacred and Secular Attacks), Charged Attacks, and the impact of Plunging Attacks will cause different effects up to every 0.1s after hitting opponents depending on her current Arkhe alignment:

Arkhe: Ousia
Every 1s, all nearby characters in the party will be healed by 4% of Furina’s max HP, for a duration of 2.9s. Triggering this effect again will extend its duration.
Arkhe: Pneuma
This Normal Attack (not including Arkhe: Seats Sacred and Secular Attacks), Charged Attack, or Plunging Attack ground impact DMG will be further increased by an amount equivalent to 25% of Furina’s max HP. When any of the attacks mentioned previously hit an opponent, all nearby characters in the party will consume 1% of their current HP. During the duration of each instance of Center of Attention, the above effects can be triggered up to 6 times. Center of Attention will end when its effects have triggered 6 times or when the duration expires.

That’s all you need to know about the best builds for Furina in Genshin Impact. As you can see, she’s a fantastic character with a ton of utility, letting her damage enemies off-field or be a healer and support unit that can still dish out good damage.
