Signing free agents in Football Manager 2024 is super simple. Firstly, you need to navigate to the profile page of the player you wish to sign.

From there, move up to the contract drop-down in the top bar and hover over the option. This will reveal the ‘approach to sign’’ option.

You will then be taken straight to the contract negotiation page, where you can agree all the usual terms before attempting to close the deal. 

That’s all there is to it! You may wish to speak with the player’s agent before entering contract negotiations, but you’ll be glad to hear that there’s no need to negotiate with a club when looking to sign a free agent.
