We all like splashing the cash on the hot young talents, but a lot of the time, especially if you’re playing in the lower leagues, you don’t have millions in the bank. But even if you’ve not got enough money, you still need to get some good players, and that’s where the loan market comes in.

We’ve put together a list of the best loan signings you can make in Football Manager 2024, including some great youngsters, and the most you’ll have to do is cover their wages for the season. So if you’re a second division club looking to get promotion, or perhaps a bottom half club needing to bolster your squad, here are the best loan signings in FM24.

FM24 best loan signings

We wanted to include options for different clubs and contexts, meaning there’s something for everyone on this list.

Emile Smith-Rowe

The biggest and most prominent name on this list, Emile Smith-Rowe is looking for a temporary home in Football Manager 2024 after recovering from injury.

Arteta has strong attacking options and ESM is the man that will take the fall, meaning one of England’s most exciting young forwards is available for at least a season.

Loan listed at the start of our save, Arsenal were asking for an 80% wage contribution but this will vary. However much you commit, you’re certain to be signing one of the most exciting young talents in FM24.

Brahim Diaz

It feels like Brahim Diaz has been on the loan list for a long time, with Real Madrid once again looking to send the Spaniard out to a temporary home.

Able to play wide, or through the middle, Diaz is a solid option for any top club looking for a potential star.

Given his age, there’s also a chance you could make this deal permanent in the future.

Tanguy Nianzou

Bagging an exciting FM24 wonderkid on the loan market is one of the most exciting elements of any Football Manager game and Tanguy Nianzou certainly ticks that box in FM24.

The French defender is currently on the loan list at parent club Sevilla, with the 20-year-old in need of some first-team experience.

Whether managing a mid-table side or even taking the reins a little higher, we think Nianzou is well worth the punt as he could become a real gem for your side.

Whilst any future fee would be high, this could be a perfect example of try before you buy in Football Manager 2024.

Yunus Musah

AC Milan and United States midfielder Yunus Musah is a player you won’t want to overlook in Football Manager 2024, whether on a loan or permanent basis.

Currently on the loan list in Milan, Musah could benefit from some first-team football and any mid to low table club should be looking at this deal.

A staggeringly good midfielder with great stats already, Musah can grow quickly and easily become a key asset for your team in this year’s game.

Daniel Jebbison

The first of our options for managers lower down the leagues, Dan Jebbison is a certified wonderkid who can have an impact in the short and long term.

Certain to grow into a star in FM24, Jebbison is a quick and clinical forward who is currently listed for loan at Sheffield United.

A perfect option for any Championship team, or equivalent, the cost of Jebbison’s small wage is certain to be negated once he starts scoring.

The Blades will be reluctant to see him leave permanently after a spell on loan, but you never know until you try.

Lewis Bate

Despite being relegated last term, Leeds United have a stacked squad and are more than capable of mounting an immediate charge back to the top flight.

Unfortunately for Lewis Bate, it’s unlikely that he’ll be a regular part of that team, with Leeds looking to ship out the midfielder on a temporary basis.

A solid hand in the middle of the park, Bate could be a perfect option for a lower-level Championship team or even a club at the top end of League One.

Bate really could be the ideal choice in Football Manager 2024 as one of the FM24 best loan signings.

Reuell Walters

Our final pick once again comes from the Red half of North London, with the Gunners looking to send youngster Reuell Walters out on loan.

Walters, a dynamic central defender who can also play as a right-back, possesses all the credentials to become a star player for your team.

That’s not to say that he can’t be useful as a squad player, with this young man being a strong option for any Championship manager.

There’s some serious talent kicking around in this year, with these talents able to do some damage for your team in Football Manager 2024, at least on a temporary basis!
