Wondering how to farm twig in Enshrouded? Call it a quirk of early access, but getting twig in Enshrouded is a hassle and it often seems like looting every bush you come across still isn’t enough. It’s something that’s heightened if you’re in the early game and running a build centred around the bow and need a steady supply of arrows. Arrows are crafted using twig, so you can see the dilemma here.
We’ll walk you through the best way to farm twigs in Enshrouded we’ve come across so far. Though it goes someway to remedying the twig shortage, we can see developer Keen Games opting to increase the drop rate in future patches.
Best way to farm twig in Enshrouded
To get twigs in Enshrouded, collect bushes and chop down saplings and trees. Twigs are a guaranteed drop from bushes and saplings so prioritise these over trees where the drop chance is lower.
The best way to farm twigs is to mine the twigs found at wolf dens throughout the map using a pickaxe. Each one is made up of a sort of bed of twigs that runs along the floor and sides of the den. A single den will net you anywhere north of 100 twigs. Once you’ve mined a den, exit the game, reload, and the den will immediately respawn, allowing you to farm twig again.
Once you’re a little further into Enshrouded, you’ll come across boar and hyena dens, which again are also made of twig that you can easily farm. Overall, it’s a vastly quicker way to farm twig than bushes, saplings, and trees. From a single den, you’re looking at hundreds of arrows.
Enshrouded twig farm wolf den location
To save you the hassle of scouring the map for hours, there’s a wolf den located not far from the starting Cinder Vault. Check the image above for the exact spot. It’s down a cliff just east of Cinder Vault and a short jog from the starting base area.
You can also find wolf dens pretty regularly in the Springlands and Low Meadows. Boar dens spawn in Revelwood while hyena dens are abundant in the Nomad Highlands.
And that’s about all there is to how to get twig in Enshrouded. Some players have also gone down the farming route with huge patches of shrubs to farm twigs. But, in our experience, the method is too labour intensive and time-consuming for what is a pretty poor yield compared to den farming.
