The Dredge The Pale Reach Iceshaper is well worth finding early on. It allows the Travelling Merchant at the Bleak Pontoon to make ice cubes that you can then buy and store in your cargo hold to keep fish fresh for longer and put off rotting.

Where to find the Iceshaper location in Dredge The Pale Reach
You’ll need to complete the Icebreaker pursuit to be able to break through ice chunks and reach the Iceshaper location. Equip it with the travelling merchant at the Bleak Pontoon before setting off.
The Dredge The Pale Reach Iceshaper is found in a dredge location in the north of H-1, southwest of the Bleak Pontoon. To reach it, head to the Central Camp, then break the ice northwest of the camp. The dredge spot is just ahead of you after breaking the ice chunks. Like with other dredge spots, you’ll need to complete the reflex-based mini-game by moving the marker up and down on the two spinning circles to avoid the black dashes.
Once you’ve dredged up the Iceshaper, Return to the travelling Merchant at the Bleak Pontoon. Click on the Icy Worksite and place the Iceshaper in the slot on the left. The Iceshaper produces ice blocks for you to use to refrigerate caught fish and extend the time it takes before they rot.
Keep fish fresh for longer
The Iceshaper allows the Travelling Merchant to produce ice cubes, which she’ll sell to you for a price. Placing these in your inventory keeps fish fresh for longer.
The Dredge The Pale Reach Iceshaper is particularly useful when it comes to completing the Figure in White fish requests, which are aberrated variants only.
