To catch all the fish in The Pale Reach, you’ll need to have the Icebreaker equipped to you boat to break through ice along with a rod and a trawl net suited to Ice fishing, and a crab pot or two. We recommend completing all the Pursuits before trying to complete the encyclopedia because doing so gives you access to several tools, including an excellent trawl net that make fishing for aberrations a lot easier in Dredge The Pale Reach.

You’ll need a coastal rod to fish Char

The Char is the only new fish that isn’t an Ice type, but is instead Coastal, which means you’ll need a different rod. It spawns in the ocean just off the edge of the Pale Reach.
