Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker pieces locations

The Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker pieces are needed to break through the ice to unlock shortcuts and inaccessible areas. Finding the pieces is the first pursuit you’ll unlock when starting the expansion and is what you’ll want to do first to make navigating around the icy archipelago easier.

We’ll pinpoint the location of all three Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker locations. Prerequisites to finding the Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker pieces

• Follow the channel between the ice near the Bleak Pontoon until you see a boat. Interact with the ship to talk to the Photographer, who will give you The Narwhal pursuit.

• Complete The Narwhal pursuit by helping the photographer fill up the pile of fish on the ice sheet next to her boat with fish to attract the Narwhal. Any fish will do. If you haven’t equipped an Ice fishing rod yet, there are several fishing spots in the ocean near the Bleak Pontoon.
• Go through the opening made by the Narwhal.

Here’s where you’ll find all three Icebreaker pieces:

Icebreaker Plow Half 1

Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker pieces locationsThe Icebreaker Plow Half is in a dredging spot on the border between H-4 and I-4 next to the Central Camp.

Icebreaker Plow Half 2

The Icebreaker Plow Half is in a dredging spot just west of the Western Bearing dock in F-4.

Icebreaker Bracing

The Icebreaker Bracing is in a dredging spot just north of the Eastern Terminus in J-6.

Once you’ve collected all three Dredge The Pale Reach Icebreaker pieces, return to the travelling merchant at the Bleak Pontoon, click on the Icy Worksite, and slot in the Icebreaker parts. With the Icebreaker quipped, the front of your ship can now break through chunks of ice, unlocking plenty of new areas in The Pale Reach.

There’s a dock near every Icebreaker piece

The Pale Reach is inhospitable, namely due to the hulking Narwhal roaming the waters. Luckily, there’s a dock next to every one of the Icebreaker pieces should you need to find some safety quickly.
