Ruins of Eridu dungeon guide
The Ruins of Eridu is a dungeon located in the Toxic Fens area found in western Hawezar region in the southeast Sanctuary. You can find it located directly west of the Vyeresz Stronghold and south of the Fethid Wetlands. Once you arrive, head inside to begin the dungeon.
Inside, you’ll receive your first task, to kill all of the mobs in the Rotting Halls section of the dungeon. You will be mainly battling Fallen and Ghoul enemies. Head through the dungeon and kill all of the enemies you come across. Once you’ve killed the mobs, you’ll then gain access to the next section of the dungeon, the Fallen Chambers.
In the Fallen Chambers, you’ll have to find and kill two Banes of Eridu. These will both be marked on the map so head through this part of the dungeon and kill the two Banes as you find them. There’s also a Cursed Chest in the main chamber of this section, which will spawn a horde of enemies for a set time period if you interact with it, so avoid it if you would rather not deal with that.
After defeating the two Banes of Eridu, continue through the dungeon and you’ll reach the dungeon’s boss, the Spiritcaller of Flames. This boss will use fire attacks as well as raising undead minions to attack you, so try to kite around the fire attacks while making good use of your AoE attacks to damage the minions and boss. If you’re having difficulties, pop a Fire Resistance potion to help you survive.
As a reward, you’ll receive the Sacrificial Aspect. This is a Necromancer-only Aspect which provides a 15% increase to your Sacrifice bonuses. This isn’t the main reason you’ll want to complete this dungeon, however, and there’s a very good reason to complete it on any class.
Why you should complete the Ruins of Eridu
The Ruins of Eridu is one of the best farming locations in Diablo 4 right now. Compared to other dungeons, it contains a huge number of mobs for its size, providing the opportunity to collect huge amounts of XP and gold quickly.
To make the most of this, make sure you’ve got a build that deals good AoE damage. This way, when you come up against large groups of enemies, such as the one spawned by the Cursed Chest, you can quickly kill them and move on to the next group.
