The SVD inherited the popular Dragunov and often flies under the radar in Black Ops 6 multiplayer due to it being a semi-automatic sniper rifle. Semi-auto snipers in Call of Duty are often overlooked due to their inconsistencies but in the case of the SVD, using the strongest build has its benefits. Although it’s in the same category as the LR 7.62, the SVD is a stark contrast from the bolt-action beast capable of dominating all long-range sightlines on each of the maps. But, with the right attachments equipped, you can find yourself scoring plenty of one-shot kills with ease.
- Semi-automatic
- Good mobility
- Lower damage compared to other snipers
Best Black Ops 6 SVD attachments
The SVD doesn’t possess strong mobility so this set of attachments aims to enhance movement speed in addition to maximising the damage output to increase the chances of scoring one-shot kills:
Weapon part | Attachment | Level to unlock |
---|---|---|
Muzzle | Muzzle Brake | Level 9 |
Barrel | Reinforced Barrel | Level 41 |
Underbarrel | Lightweight Handguard | Level 3 |
Comb | Ergonomic Riser | Level 35 |
Stock | Combat Stock | Level 39 |
The best SVD loadout starts with the Muzzle Brake to allow the recoil pattern to reset quicker than normal alongside additional recoil control for the first shot. This is key when you’re looking to eliminate the target with a single bullet. Next is the Reinforced Barrel for extra damage range and bullet velocity to minimise any drop-off in performance at longer ranges. When scoped in, you will notice the scope swaying uncontrollably which is where the Lightweight Handguard comes into play. The reduction of sway makes it much easier to focus on anyone who walks into your crosshair.
The SVD is often overlooked but can still pack a punch on the battlefield.
Quickscoping is the preferred technique of many snipers in Call of Duty. The Ergonomic Riser Comb improves your aim-down sight (ADS) speed alongside your slide-to-fire and dive-to-fire speed giving you the best possible chance of reacting quickly to any incoming threats. The fifth and final attachment is the Combat Stock. Quicker movement speed while aiming combined with additional flinch resistance ensures enemy gunfire doesn’t impact your accuracy and gives you the ability to move quickly while zoomed in.
Best Black Ops 6 SVD perks and equipment
Once you’ve selected the best attachments, the next step in building the best SVD loadout is picking the strongest selection of perks and equipment. There are plenty to choose from and we’ve found a set that suits this sniper rifle perfectly.
Perks
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Assassin
- Perk 3: Double Time
- Perk 4: Bankroll
- Wildcard: Perk Greed
The combination of Assassin, Double Time, and Bankroll ensures quick movement speed, longer Tac Sprint, and a boost to your Scorestreak total when spawning into the action. All of these perks fall under the Enforcer category meaning you earn the Combat Specialty. For the Enforcer perks, you earn additional movement speed and faster health regeneration after scoring a kill which is particularly useful when a group of enemies are trying to hunt you down. In addition to the Enforcer trio is Ghost which conceals your location from airborne UAVs and radar pings while moving. This is great for relocating to a new vantage point without alerting the opposition.
Ghost is arguably the best perk to use in Black Ops 6 multiplayer.
Equipment
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Stim Shot
- Field Upgrade: Trophy System
- Secondary: Grekhova
The pairing of Semtex and Stim Shot is the strongest equipment combination in Black Ops 6. Semtex is great for dealing explosive damage while Stim Shots give you the best chance at getting back in the fight thanks to its quick health regeneration. For our Field Upgrade, we’ve selected the Trophy System. The ability to block a few incoming grenades in the heat of battle protects you and anyone nearby who may be in control of another sightline while using the best SVD loadout. Use the Grekhova as your secondary weapon option and pull it out whenever the enemy gets too close for comfort.
